We desperately need a time machine so that unrepentant assholes like Hegseth and Noem can travel back in time and demonstrate their heroism is a less cosplay way. Send the Civil War reenactors back too. See how many of them are still willing to don the gray.

"increase revenue, and you do that by lowering taxes"
What a Laffer. If only we could power the nation with gaslighting, we'd be energy independent as well as solve climate change. The GOP is like the Ghawar of Gaslight.

I'll never understand how the one on the right turns into the one on the left. Uncooked it just looks like trimmings to me.

We're in the eye of the storm. The only reason people are content is because he hit pause on tariffs and they stopped hemorrhaging 5% a day from their 401k. He's handcuffed. If he tries it again, he'll end up back at 30 net. Also Musk is out and is no longer making negative headlines.

I wish he'd just rename the Republican party at this point as long as he's in a naming mood.

There is a converse argument, the new/expansive SCOTUS opinion of presidential immunity is what led inevitably to the new Trump that exceeds his authority and destroys every democratic norm the country has. SCOTUS and the other federal judges who let him get away with it, aren't the victims here.

I'm so fed up with far right liars. How are people still dumb enough to fall for this BS.

The fact is that the internet talkshow war is mirroring the old AM radio war. The right is now dominating in this space and winning hearts and minds that may never come back. The same thing that caused the left to lose in that space is now threatening to lose in this new space. It's very dangerous.

Rogan's show is the Dunning-Kruger power hour. Critical thinkers need not show up.
I don't know that it's necessarily what people want to emulate though, simply because they pine for a left wing avatar with similar reach.

Is it more or less disheartening than finding out Infowars is the new focus group for the GOP? If the crazy floats there, then it becomes part of the latest GOP platform. Jones popularized voter fraud insanity, anti-vax insanity, "chemtrails", fluoride paranoia, trans panic, etc.

The right has been screeching about a weaponized IRS for so long that they believe it's a thing that happens, and now they want the chance to do it. As usual, it's pure projection

Somehow I get the idea that you don't know how this actually works. See, you open up your brain and write something, and anyone who reads your literary gift to the world gets to respond. I'm sure you didn't like my response, and that's too bad. I didn't like your ignorant comment so we're even.

What a monumentally fucked up question. Substitute any other minority group and maybe you'll realize why. Somehow I doubt it though. Anyone that would refer to human beings in such a demeaning manner is probably too fucking stupid to ever have any sort of realization. What are you good for?

"go back to a tax policy of the 60s,70s and 80s"
Had me up to the 80s part. Reagan almost tripled the national debt. I'm so suck of that guy being heralded as some kind of fiscal hawk when he provably wasn't. This is why GHWB coined the phrase "voodoo economics" and raised taxes.

They aren't ever going to cut healthcare for themselves. Apparently the only solution is to expand the US Congress to 300 million people. Then we can all be on their healthcare plan and all get to vote on bills and important things like impeachment.

Meanwhile the actual welfare millionaires who have successfully shielded their assets in Trusts slip right through the cracks because their estate attorneys obscured their cash from the means testing algorithm.

The problem with these austerity movements is that that the correction always goes too far. It all starts with some theoretically true, but statistically implausible accusation like "welfare millionaires". Next thing you know they increase the bureaucratic red tape, and make it ...

So no one should believe the NYT ever again because Trump sued them? The only thing he's "won" is that they petitioned the court to delay the trial until after he leaves office. They said no. That's not a verdict. Speaking of defamation, have you paid E. Jean Carroll yet, President TACO?
