Another way to see this is that the Dem Party dutifully/happily does the bidding of the right wing for the brief moments they’re in charge— rolling back civil rights, “fixing” the economy, jumping in front of failed pandemic response parades, fainting at the mention of Supreme Ct reform, etc.

I suspect that fact that the vast majority of LLM users don’t seem to have received this (really very simple!) message is because the AI companies have a vested interest in us not understanding it. “ChatGPT is smart, it just makes mistakes sometimes” is much more marketable than the truth.

Having a bit of a hard time with the concept that if a guy in a police uniform who has a police vehicle shows up I should lock the doors and call 911, but if a guy in a ski mask with an hGH gut appears to be kidnapping my neighbor, I shouldn’t ask who he is if I don’t want federal charges.
