I do stuff that's something to do with medicine but I'm not saying what or where in case my boss doesn't like my opinion about something! Honestly, the NHS gets twitchy about some stuff!

A little reading suggests this is a continuation of a long term trend both here and in the US. Involvement of Parliament in ratification also risks politicalisation of treaties, particularly with out two party system. A lack of constitutional law makes this worse.

I'm not impressed by the labour government though anything has to be better than the last lot! but I do have to ask the question, have other governments allowed votes on trade negotiations? Is there precedent for this? Being unpopular isn't the same as being bad.

Merry Crispmas Steve! Beer can solve any crisis... Unless the crisis is running out of beer 🤔

The cones are opened by fire aren't they? They're beautiful trees and we're lucky to have them but the genetic diversity is surely quite low?

Has anyone seen any seedlings from English redwoods?

My ancestors are from the Forest of Dean on one side and Derbyshire on the other and we moved to Yorkshire and Essex respectively. Either my genes are ancient or I'm a terrible heinz 57! 🤭

Bloody socialists coming over here making the lives of the poor and needy better! Did we ask them to make our lives better?

Damn I love those lichens 🙈 I don't know why but they're tough and cope where nothing else can.

Well it certainly harmed his plans to avoid tax

They didn't really. Most of the brexit voters had a knee jerk reaction to the leave option and got lied to about the consequences. And here we are...

OK so this sum is over the course of ten years starting in 2017. The crown estate rather than the person of the king makes most of the money you're talking about and has paid about £4 billion to the revenue. How much has Google or Amazon paid in a similar period?

Yes yes you said... I believe you just as much as I believe this ceasefire will be permanent... Which is to say not at all.

PS... I don't feel sorry for you and remember when the line gets thin they'll put you in a uniform no matter how good you are at misinformation and propaganda. Your only hope at this point is the negotiated settlement we mentioned before. If you can find anyone to believe you...

Oh don't go! Did I hurt your feelings? I didn't get to mention Israel starving hundreds or thousands and shooting MSF doctors yet! Could I just mention the settlers burning Palestinians in their homes on the west bank? Or bunker busters being used on hospitals? We have so much to discuss!

You beat me to it! Like the other ceasefires Israel has so convincingly signed up to over the years... 🙄

Oh the heady scent of misdirection! You really should have gone with anti-semite first though! I think you've gone off half cocked. No one in their right mind supports that particular cross between a rabid bear and a wolverine on acid. Keep going though it was a dull evening before you arrived.

You admitted you weren't even 50 my dear boy! I know MAD and you're so setting it up for the big performance. Between you and Putin I'm glad I'm upwind...

The UN convention on human rights would extend that to Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank too... You could (and yes I mean you because you've totally outed yourself as a Jewish info war space cadet) try sharing and living in harmony instead of this selfish fixation on Greater Israel? Just saying

You're totally sure you're not Jewish? Not even a tiny bit zionist? Definitely getting zionist vibes there...

I doubt his intentions! A hundred million people out there in Internet land doubt his intentions! He didn't even agree this with his own ministers! We all know that this is only because the delivery of arms is late this month!

Third person impersonal... And Israel has never attempted negotiations in good faith... They have a big brother who'll beat up their enemies if they argue... Also I'm old enough to remember mutually assured destruction which seems to be what Israel is pulling down on its head right now

Tit for tat for tit for tat... When will it end? They started it... Blah blah... I've been watching you fuck it up for the last fifty years dude! It won't stop until you stop retaliating and negotiate in good faith and not just until you've replaced your tanks!

Perhaps Israel is running low on stupid young people willing to die for fascist old men?

Well I certainly feel better because I can't afford an electric car of any kind but I've got a bicycle.

Notably the "pay over ten years interest free" has not had a lot of air time... But I am surprised how low the cap was placed, higher would protect a lot of family farms and small holders.

The differences in affected numbers stands out. I assume the Revenue has published the guidelines and accountants have applied real life figures to see who's telling the truth?

At the risk of karma... He do his family a favour and snuff before the changes come into force? Just saying...

I think setting up a cabal of leftist reactionaries and PRETENDING to set the agenda is much more likely... Sadly no one ever listens to us

I must say that as someone who works in a hospital in a "seaside resort" town where a lot of these people get dumped I think I've never seen so many overdoses in my career

They mentioned three of the best things that the US does for people and intend to defund those projects? They're not just mad they're deeply evil...

Brexit was the result of playing with popularism and loosing... Cameron lost, the Tory party lost (haha) and ultimately the UK lost. Brexit supporters were lied to and ultimately expressed the underlying xenophobia of Essex man. ☹️
