It may not be as much of a mystery as some suggest. The parting seems to be mutual. It's likely that under this arrangement, she can transfer to another coach or team with less or no legal entanglements.

The Hegelian Dialectic is actually: Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis, and it's a philosophic concept, not some diabolical plan for social engineering.

Now that we know that Sasha is at least a couple months pregnant, I understand her "new look."

But I'm still traumatized by Ah-sun and Anastasiia Gubanova failing to even make the FS. Nini I had doubts about so I was not surprised, but I would have loved for her to make the FS as well. Meanwhile, biased scoring reigns at this Worlds, not really different from past Worlds.

Our own Maddy Schizas had the best SP skate of her life here, one of the few bright spots in the women's.

This is that skate. Yup, that is indeed "team captain" Sasha looking like she just got out of bed. I hope she isn't taking fashion advice from Plushenko.

Magick is very much a FAFO thing. Reading, talking, speculating, etc. about it is fruitless in the long run. As the Chaldean Oracles say: Invoke often. The issues discussed here is a good part of why graded initiatory magickal orders came to be.

Why not Rush?? At least play good Canadian music.

Anyone can reply, so feel free to add any I have missed. I don't pay as much attention to the men, pairs or ice dance, so if anyone wants to cover those please do.

References to "the twins" refers to identical twins Kim Yu-jae and Yu-seong both who have a triple Axel, abbreviated 3A.
But 3A has also been used to collectively refer to Alexandra Trusova, Anna Scherbakova, and Aliona Kostornaia who had both their junior and senior debuts the same year.

Nini - An Xiangyi
66 - Wang Yihan (I have no idea of the provenance of this, but Chinese fans call her this.)
Joline - Sophie Joline von Felten (According to her fans, she dislikes Sophie and prefers being called Joline.)

And now some nicknames proper:
Maddie - Madeline Schizas
Katya - Ekaterina Kurakova (Katya always refers to her in my usage)
Anri - Phattaratida Kaneshige (Even her coach Tammy Gambil calls her this. Pronounced "Ahn ree".)
Joey - Josephine Lee

Let's take a slight detour to cover some familiar versions of common (mostly Russian) names since they are often used in chat.
Zhenya - Evgenia
Sasha - Alexandra
Sonya - Sofia
Nastya/Nastia -Anastasia
Dasha - Dariah
Katya - Ekaterina
I'm sure I missed some, feel free to add to this.

Let's start with some women who have recently retired or "soft retired" since they come up in conversation all the time.
Zhenya - Evgenia Medvedeva
Sasha, Quad Queen - Alexandra Trusova
The Empress, Lutz Queen, Liza - Elizaveta Tuktamysheva
Little Queen - Miyahara Satoko
Gabby - Gabrielle Daleman

So, over time, the fans simplified these three to:
Kat - Sofia Akatieva
Mura - Sofia Muravieva
Samo - Sofia Samodelkina
And since we've introduced the subject of nicknames, let's continue and make this a general reference. Bookmark this thread then, and let's continue.

Sofia is by far the most common personal name among the women in figure skating. Simply using the familiar Sonya doesn't help much here since it could refer to any Sofia. Russian skaters share so many common personal names we generally refer to them by their last names.

And for all that, finished 0.33 behind Dvoeglazova. Mura at least had a clean SP in that part of the competition, but finished in 2nd just behind Gorbacheva (by 0.08). Kat popped both jumps in her combo and finished last out of 6 in the SP.

It's not one man trying to burn it all down. Like all presidents, Trump is just a front person for the real movers behind the scenes. In Trumps case, Thiel, Musk, Adelson are three of the main suspects. Trump plays the role of populist but is delivering the country to one faction of the elites.

The Axis of Evil has always been the USA, the UK and Israel my entire life. Poppy Bush just gave me a catchy label to use for them.

It was very tough to watch Mura's frustration and dejection at the end of her FS. She has not had a good season and it seems to be taking a toll on her. She was in second after a clean SP and I had high hopes for her in the FS, only to have them dashed again.

Agata's SP from a couple of weeks ago, a better performance than she had at this latest comp. I really like this program and using Black Betty is certainly an unusual music choice of which I hugely approve. I'm becoming a fan largely because of this program. (And her positive potato.)

After hearing "Dvoeglazova" a few times from the announcer, it's not that hard to pronounce. How native speakers announce their skaters is a great way to learn their names, and with a lot of Korean, Japanese and Russian videos available this is not really hard to do.

Levi and Rosicrucian systems in general made the 4 cardinal directions and elements conform to the tetragrammaton, which is the order Levi's Four Powers of the Sphinx uses. There are other assignments, and the 4 Divas use a different order - ♉-W, ♏-N.

Do I want to watch the Awards just to catch Kurt Browning, knowing I'll have to sit through Johnny Weir? I love Kurt's commentary, plus he is a major Japanese skating stan too. I don't know if I can stomach Weir very long though.

Eye is the most questionable assignment. One of her main correspondences is the large sword she carries on stage in performances of "Queen of the Night". Another good candidate is Suzuhana Yuko, who makes good use of the traditional fan.

Even Sarah Everhardt and Ah-sun have skated at least one Challenger event in the previous season(s). The only actual senior debut I can think of is Sofia Samodelkina.
