Getting trapped between stations in The Hot Car, everybody radiating body heat, deodorant failing under the pressure of the heat, the collective quiet groan when the driver announces the delay...

the "men are visual creatures" lie only works on women who have never lived with a man who can't find food in his own fridge

Chelly is perfect. No notes. Olandria's butt should host the show. The contestants with obvious plastic surgery look a full 10 years older than they actually are. Gen Z gals hath cooketh their faces. The men are incredibly mid. Another Gen Z epidemic, I fear

Love Island takes: Ace is a shit stirrer but he's right 90% of the time Huda gives me Cluster B vibes, & people defending her immediately raise red flags. Some screws loose there. Jeremiah LOVED it though, and egged her on whether on purpose or subconsciously. Austin wins most annoying voice award

i've got to write a substack post about the math of having two kids. it's not 2X as hard as 1, 3/4 of the time, but 1/4 of the time (when they both need something at the same time and you're the only one who can help) it's 3X as hard as 1.

going to stand outside a TPUSA event with a sign that reads: "small children need you relentlessly, especially if you are their mother, and "staying home" with the kids is not a chill relaxing job unless you literally have servants. this take is offensive to the labor of homemaking imho"

ICE is also the fault of a complicit press. How, where and who did ICE recruit? Why isn't every newspaper in the country devoting themselves to finding out who is in this brand new secret police force that now terrorizes America? It's the definition of newsworthy. The answer is: they're afraid.

DO NOT TALK TO ICE. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LET THEM IN AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TALK TO THEM. DO NOT HELP THEM. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION WHATSOEVER, ABOUT ANYBODY.

(And, yes, I've seen that statement from the mayor of Santa Monica denying nanny raids have happened, but I don't believe that he'd be in a position to know that & I think it's irresponsible to issue statements to that effect given the feds' tendency to lie to local governments about ICE activity)

This was on the West Side of LA, where ICE agents have been targeting child care providers. Please, if your immigration status is in flux (or if you believe ICE may racially profile you), or if you work with anybody in that situation, remind them that ICE CAN'T ENTER YOUR HOME WITHOUT A WARRANT.
