I see Stuart Thompson's doing the thing so many journalists do on here, where he's being snotty and dismissive to people in his replies, because of course that's the way to respond to people upset you let a guy who posted vile CSAM on X portray himself as the fucking victim. 🙄

Release Radar playlist this week has yet another posthumous BTB Savage single, how much shit did this guy have in the vault?

oh god forbid a woman do anything

Fucking help someone instead of trying to win the discourse competition.

Y’ALL. The comments on this perfectly normal, non confrontational, not even a little bit controversial post.

Might not have been the best choice to listen to a new hour-long Brian Eno ambient album this early in the day. 🥱

Took a look at Clearsky to see if I'd been added to any lists lately and I was blocked and added to a blocklist by an account called GRIDS Vancouver, and I'm completely at a loss here. Any ideas what might have happened?

This new release week just keeps on going somehow, the new Marina album is phenomenal and is easily one of the best pop records of the year so far. Especially this song: open.spotify.com/track/0STDJO...

Oh neat, no one told me that the new system is actually Nintendo Switch: Maximum Carnage Edition

It's wild to realize there was a time when Mary Chapin Carpenter was a massive star considering her music now doesn't sound radically different from what she was doing back then but also feels entirely removed from the current commercial mainstream.

If Gen Z really wants to dunk on millennials, they should learn about Foursquare and go around saying stuff like, "I hear you're the mayor of this Panera Bread."

New Little Simz album is also very good, this week's singlehandedly making up for how disappointing May was.

if i saw this in someone’s home i would take it as a sign that i need to leave immediately because that’s what it is

Oh yeah, never posted my chart for last week's listening.

—wait what

I think growing up in an age where there was only physical media, and primarily formats where you couldn't easily skip tracks (i.e. vinyl, cassettes), led to my relationship with albums being very different from how people who've grown up only with streaming experience them.

New Sabrina Carpenter single sounds like it could have been an outtake from the last album, right down to the "horny for stupid guys" lyrics, it's catchy but this formula's starting to get a little tedious.

yeah im a centrist. i think the best government is somewhere between anarchism and communism

Since it's New Music Friday, how about the album I'm listening to right now? 😝 open.spotify.com/album/4et2xB...

So wait, why is Guy Gardner a character in this movie in the first place? How many people watching a Superman movie are likely to even know there are Green Lanterns other than Hal Jordan? If they even know who Hal Jordan is? This is just such a bizarre decision.

Three songs into the new Pulp album and yep, it's good. As the singles indicated, they've just picked up seemingly effortlessly where they left off 20+ years ago, and it's so great to have them back.

Stayed up too late because I decided to play a few more maps in Pina Colada, a Doom II WAD where the gimmick is hard maps with no more than 75 enemies. Which sounds similar to a lot of Plutonia on the surface, but the design of the encounters is much more Sunlust-influenced.

Now that there are uploads of both of the major community-made Evilution sequels (Devilution and Revilution) on the Kex port, I've played the first few levels of both of them. Devilution feels truer to the spirit of the original, with all the obscurantism that implies...
