Marge being smug and weird towards Lisa in this era kind of felt like a reoccurring thing, sadly. Like her admitting she reads Lisa's diary, or when talking to Otto's ex-fiance in one episode Marge said she'd decided Lisa's vegetarianism is a phase so she sneaks meat juice into all her vegetables.

He also disliked how her elevation by the press often came at the detriment of other authors working in the kids fantasy subgenre, with her dismissive attitude towards fantasy just irking him further as I think it made it seem like a mercenary enterprise than a desire to tell an interesting story.
