Congratulations from everyone in the US, whether they agree with this or not. This is a very strong ruling and it protects all of us. Since he is getting rid of FEMA it's even more important that each state has enough National Guard in case of emergencies. Good point about needing them.

Are they in Japan?

I have read in more than one place that they are forcing government employees in other departments like the IRS to leave desk jobs and work instead with ICE. If they have to go in the field, they may be away from home. Untrained also. This all can't help either.

It's been said that a number of California National Guards missed the phone calls telling they needed to respond. I suspect that number will go up since people need to work at their jobs to get paid and standing around in LA is a financial risk.

Are CBD officers wearing body cams? LAPD does. This is something protesters need to be aware of. If they are using facial recognition software along with government databases to find people...

I use to live in Arcadia not far from there. Arcadia PD probably don't want to get involved. They probably told CBP to just go inside and wait for protesters to leave. Don't know if police will try to get protesters to leave if they continue through the night. Arcadia PD were low key in the past.

Hey, just in case you didn't see my comment, just posting this because PDX protesters in 2020 did the Star Wars music. In case you want to give them credit? They went through a lot and people protesting today can learn from what happened and what they did. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZjm...

The other thing that I remember is the brave on the ground reporting by independent reporters. Who went on to bigger outlets and more. Seeing some of them doing the same in LA. I hope they will all be safe.

Uh, they did this in 2020 in Portland, Oregon. www.forbes.com/sites/micahh...

Would be great if someone could do that here. Although I suspect many of those who's ancestors were being researched would just say it's all fake.

Definitely not a millennium ago. More like the 1700's. And yes modern US Immigration laws are not very old at all. Thank you for all your good work online. I am always impressed by your knowledge. And happy to have you here in the US.

"their" darn iPhone autocorrect. Do they ever mention that Europe was happy to ship a good number of criminal convicts to America to work off their sentences in indentured servitude? Thousands of these were English, Scottish or Irish. Said by Colonists to have "questionable character".

It’s also amazing that these guys making these claims about America and immigrants are also here because there ancestors immigrated to America. Unless they are Native Americans. Do they have proof all their ancestors followed all laws?

I wonder about his sanity because this is delusional stuff he is claiming

Serious question. Has he ever had a psych evaluation? Because that’s some delusional stuff there.

As a former member I am glad he is out and okay. And that your union is standing up for the people in California

You know what worked in Portland, Oregon, in 2020? The feds left the city. Then the protests and more stopped. It's that simple.

Not like it was a secret there would be protests today. They could have made sure vehicles didn't go to the area where the protests are happening. What would they do if there's a earthquake and they are blocking emergency vehicles? No contingency plans? That's management failure.

Waymo knew there would be protests. Why did they not move their cars? They had time to move the cars out of the area. They could have moved them during the night or early morning.

Why didn't the company move their cars out of the area before? It's not like it was a secret there would be protests in specific areas of Los Angeles. Seriously, if there is a major disaster, do they not have a plan for clearing their cars off of streets so emergency vehicles can get through?

Thank you. Our lives would be better now if you were president. I was thinking that when I voted for you and I think that every day. What is happening is so unnecessary and cruel. It never makes anything better for anyone. Thank you for speaking for what is right and humane.
