It seems like a lot of what he’s complaining about is not being able to see where culture is being formed anymore which seems like it could be accounted for by just… getting old? Maybe I’m being uncharitable.

I enjoy my 5 year old bellowing the chorus to believer and mumbling the rest of the lyrics, at least

Clearly he’s gotta have an Uncle Nephew as well.

In fairness to Adam, most of the video is a takedown of worldcoin rather than just an apology.

Fuck around and find out, but good

I'm not an RHCP fan, but Frusciante's solo electronic work is really good.

What is wrong with you? Are you just not paying attention?

I simultaneously admire the congressman's restraint and wish he'd asked whether Isaacman had been kicked in the head by a horse

Thing is that only applies if they all get removed at once. If it's just Trump, Vance appoints a VP with congressional approval and they would be next in line if Vance is tossed out. Not sure that improves anything, but it at least makes "President Hegseth" less likely

See I solved this* by moving to linux * and opened myself up to a brand new world of insane shit

My children are making up for it by telling absurd, obvious lies and hollering "APRIL FOOLS!" after each one

My Trump fan uncle was posting about how EVs are evil and Teslas the worst of them last month. I have no idea whether he'll suddenly be pro-Tesla or not, but it at least seems like there's a barrier there too.

My dad taught me to eat them straight from the tin--but wasabi does sound like it would be good with them. They're already so salty, though...

My very normie very moderate *conservative* parents prefer AOC to most congressional Dems (and Republicans) which seems weird but I’m not complaining

One of my dogs’ record was chewing a toy open before we got it to the register in front of the owner of said store as she was telling us how tough it was

Oh man, I had such high hopes they could put a little mini SSX in there with that. Hopefully they improve it at some point, but I’d bet it’s low priority.

One of my favorite old TTRPGs is Torg, which has an in game meaning and lore, but of course it stands for The Other Roleplaying Game

Nonzero chance Trump sees this and has Musk imprisoned

For those who want their own, I'm about 90% sure this is Solflamer's sculpt (and it's free)

Interesting, that's about the point my mom said no more, apparently found Mitt Romney too odious. She took me to see George Bush land at SeaTac airport during his run against Clinton, and now she's an AOC fan!

Based on what we saw, it’s far more believable that Musk spent an exorbitant amount staging an elaborate hoax to convince Grimes he can play video games

RealNetworks is still an existing business, and last I heard (admittedly ~3 years ago now) is that the active user count of RealPlayer is still in the hundreds of thousands.
comment in response to post
The most insane thing is there are still a few hundred thousand RealNetwork diehards keeping them afloat

I’m honestly a little paranoid about “just deleting” anyway. Why wouldn’t they just undelete your content if activity gets bad enough and start slapping LLM slop on there too for their “AI profiles”? If you gave up the account you have even Less recourse…

Federal funding for parties requires a certain percent of the presidential vote having gone to them, but presidential campaigns are the most expensive yet least effective at building a base.
comment in response to post
There's some very American stuff going on beyond that as not every FPTP system devolves into two parties. A huge issue is that in America, third parties are subject to laws written by the other two. The Dems and Republicans dictate funding and party structure in ways that advantage them over others.

I honestly think most people who like LLMs absolutely do not get this. Sam Altman sure as hell doesn't!
