I feel like Santa Cruz has so many examples. Most recent being a group uses CEQA to delay wharf restoration and then wharf collapses before repairs can finish: www.mercurynews.com/2024/12/28/p...

Construction update. No idea what these huge walls are for or if they're temporary.

With this hack now you have to worry about daylight savings time transitions happening at the incorrect time!

Very interesting edge case! But I think there may be ambiguity on whether additional hours digits beyond just 2 could be accepted. The spec says one digit for hours is valid, so maybe more than 2 should be accepted as well? You should start a GitHub issue to discuss!

Hard to say for sure whether people are connecting the dots that housing costs are a source of economic discontent. However, I think there's plenty of evidence we're materially worse in what we get for housing, see this evidence for example: bsky.app/profile/kevi...

Can't there be an episode where say the Kratts brothers work with Zach Varmitech to instead do some urban infill on a parking lot or do a land swap to show land preservation in action?

Vibrant downtown area of Sacramento. I was really looking forward to tapping to paying SacRT, it was advertised on the dynamic message sign and in the train, but no validator was to be found!

That radio mast 2nd from the right is the tallest structure in California. 2nd tallest in US and 7th tallest in the world.

Somehow booked the less direct bus. It made a stop at Robert J Cabral station which has a different vibe than San Joaquin Street Station. I wondered about what history happened that made downtown Stockton into what it currently is like.

Probably whatever is in place currently unless there are special exemptions for disasters like this. Lots of insight to be gained in looking at the experience had in the Santa Cruz Mountains after about 1,000 structures burned in the 2020 CZU Lightning fire: pressbanner.com/4-years-afte...

Skagway, Alaska. You can *walk* to nearly anywhere in the town from the airport. Probably not a big enough city, but worth a mention. Otherwise, there are so many criteria for a major city that it's hard to pick one without algorithmic bias of some sort.
