The program narration that was put together by the Army (and corporate sponsors (I assume) was educational, apolitical, and pro-Army. Some significant portion of the spectators were military dependents. Not the parade Donald wanted.
Donald's purpose for the parade was to promote his fascist agenda.

I wonder how many of the attendees have family in the parade.

"These folks are tired," and, apparently, afraid of cooties. Somebody skipped their nap. Somebody's cranky.
Perez made me think. Does it feel honest to say that someone is regressing if you have doubts that they progressed in the first place?

Fortunate Son... ironic (subversive, even) when you consider that Donald used his privilege to dodge the draft.

Maybe it's a matter of perspective. One person's cringe is another person's cool.
Or maybe my daughter os right. One person's cringe is her cross to bear. 🤣

Politico is publishing pro-fascist propaganda.
I've decided that I am surely correct in thinking that my Maga grand nephew's graduation present should be a copy of Orwell's 1984. If I can convince myself that we're still family, I'll tape a couple Franklins to the last the last page.

Why are you lying, Erin Burnett?
Sponge grenades that you claimed were fired by protesters are launched using a 40mm grenade launcher. How many protesters have you seen walking around with a grenade launcher!? None.
The riot control munitions were fired by the cops. You are a liar, a bad person.

Megan McArdle is a sophomore troll and a Koch libertarian tool. She is whining about Bluesky because her patrons feel threatened by Bluesky.
Worry when the fascists stop complaining.

The cop that shot her was standing maybe 30 feet away. He aimed his gun directly at the reporter. Absolutely, it was deliberate.

Megan thee libertarian sophomore, The reason I no longer try to help you with your thinking problems through WaPo comments is that I canceled my Washington Post subscription. I never learned a damned thing by reading your commentary, and I have an aversion to fascists and their supporters.

Well, folks. That's Megan McArdle. Reading an entire column feels about the same... Like you've been scolded by a sophomore. You get to pick your reaction: angered, insulted, or amused.

Epstein "asked by Wolff, “How do you know all this?” Epstein replied, “I was Donald’s closest friend for 10 years."
"Wolff also said Thursday that the pedophile showed off photos of Trump with topless young women sitting in his lap."

This is American politics now. Brought to you by the Republicans: sadistic fascist oligarchs, shit-show evangelicals, and weakling white nationalists.
My countrymen who aren't in a cult (most of us) deserve real leaders, not corrupt, compromised, narcissistic Billionaires.

The space station is nearing the end of its life. It's ready to be retired. However, to your point, SpaceX is not just a taxi to the space station.
However, there are other options: Boeing, SLS, Lockheed. The planned moon missions (Artemis) do not involve SpaceX as far as I know.

Once again, the Democratic Party leadership finds its way to validate Republican claims about the left. Republicans frame the conversation for the self-described "centrists", and the "centrists" demonstrate their lack of conviction or vision by running to the right.

More condescending bullshit from Democratic leadership. I want to be with the political party with the courage to pursue its convictions.
After a terrible loss, for the past 40 years, Democrats follow the oligarchs to the right instead of pursuing a vision for an economically just America.

A cynical opinion that ignores the issues with Musk's character.
"Fool me once..."
Musk is a "green energy advocate" because he stands to lose or benefit personally. His green energy advocacy does not make him a Dem ally. The people interviewed in this piece are presented like gullible dopes.

I guess that's adjacent to living with dignity in the 21st century.
Myself, I proudly live in the 21st century, so I wouldn't use PowerPoint graphics, and I wouldn't print it out on paper.

Now there are two gulfs with contentious names. When I hear someone refer to "the gulf", I automatically think of the "Arabian Gulf", because, Jesus Christ, don't call it the "Persian Gulf" if you're trying to do business with Arabs.

"I have come to perhaps the obvious conclusion that accelerating GDP Growth is essential."
Taken in the context of managing the national debt.
They could have figured this out by taking an entry-level econ course. Literally, this was covered in Econ 101 when I studied over three decades ago.

It's a decent read, but the author chose not to discuss the benefits to Elon Musk.
There is no discussion of the custody of data stolen by DOGE operatives. No discussion of the investigations into Musk's businesses. No discussion of new business for Musk's businesses - especially Starlink a SpaceX.

Also, there are cuts to higher education and Pell grants, new limits on borrowing for education. New limits on how much parents can co-sign for student loans.
Republican Billionaires want an American underclass to exploit, and it is your children, your progeny that will serve them.

Let's see Jake Tapper's book about the Trump administration. The attacks on personal freedom. The destruction of our government infrastructure. The tanking of our economy. All so rich people like Musk and Bezos can have an underclass to exploit.
I have no use for Jake Tapper. CNN is dead to me.

It absolutely ~is~ the role of the judiciary to hold the excesses of other branches in check. That is the point of three independent branches of government.

For all I know, Musk probably thinks that a one-star review of his Cybertruck is "violence".
He's a fascist. Words will mean whatever suits the fascist.
For example, Noem redefining habeas corpus to be a "constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country".

When I hear about the gratuitously creulty of evangelicals, I ask myself, "when are they going to convert to Christianity".
Evangelicals might convince you that the religion doesn't have any value. The fact is, they ignore the teachings of Jesus.
