Switching to natural gas based direct reduction of iron & electric arc furnaces for finishing steel is the smart way to future-proof steel making. Especially in a place that can use cheap Marcellus gas. This cuts GHG emissions ~ in half & nearly eliminates the nasty air pollution at blast furances.
