A.S. Colworth's Empire's End (Dreams of the Fallen #0.5) might be one of the best fantasy novellas I've ever read - up there with the @ryancahill.bsky.social's of the world. A fast-paced, riveting read that exemplifies why a novella can be JUST AS impactful as an 800-page tome.

Not a good time for the eldest to go incommunicado with the terrible events at the Liverpool parade today. Especially when said eldest was at the football parade. Eventually got word from him that he is ok and trying to get a train to Manchester.
