No prob! It’s confusing.
(Conversely: Category size shrinks when there are fewer eligible candidates. Usually that only happens in the revival categories but it can also hit the ones for lead acting.)

It isn’t planned—it’s strictly an accident of the nominators’ voting procedure. The categories can swell to six or seven if there’s a tie for last place.
