I also recently added original musics to my game! I really wanted to represent the characters' personality and play style through their themes, so I had no other choice than doing them myself... without any knowledge in music theory 🤷

I may have plenty of ideas for future characters, the fact that I'm working alone on their design, animations, themes and ingame integration while keeping a minimal level of polish makes it really time-consuming for me, so do not expect too much about this for now 🙏

Currently, the game counts 3 fighters with different play styles, GLM being a swordfighter based on precision, Ruka a fast shooter with zoning tools, and Cheiik a slow but powerful character with long-range pokes.

Since then, I've been working on it on my free time. Even if the development may be very slow, I made small devlogs to talk about the issues I met, how I fixed them, and to archive the progress of the game.

Greatly inspired by the Guilty Gear series for its game feel and by Touhou Hisoutensoku's mobility, my goal was to create an accessible and easy-to-play game with simple mechanics that encourages and rewards the players' creativity.

It all started in 2022 as "Self-Fighter", a Unity prototype that allowed me to try developing fighting games features, just for fun. But I decided in late 2023 to entirely rework the project and make it a fun and playable game for my friends and me, that's how reVENGEANCE FIGHTERS was born.
