Bit of both in his case imo.

The real problem with that line was that she did not in fact have a bob. Lies, deception!

Oh piss off you tedious bore.

I don't have any need or desire to prove myself to you. The screenshot - of the white westerner nastily attacking the identity of someone who has a lot more skin in the game - is the tip of the iceberg of nasty, bullying behaviour that he regularly indulges in. Believe me or don't, idc.

Total bollocks I'm afraid.

That guy, who is a Greek Australian cosplaying in Argentina as a Latin American revolutionary, is a total psychopath whose brain has been cooked for many, many years.

That's a joke post. It's a copy pasta.

That's my experience with Greek food too - most dishes I've tried there are fairly simple e.g. the flavours will be a bit of garlic, a sprig of one herb and a squeeze of lemon or something but the end result is elevated by the sheer quality of the ingredients.

The weird thing is that I see that guy interact regularly with people I follow and generally have fairly reasonable opinions from what I can tell (caveat: I don't follow him so don't see everything) and then there was this insane thread in the picture. People contain multitudes I guess!

Also it's possible the thing is cosmetically disfigured but functional i.e. he can technically still do the deed but has a huge complex about it so rarely does so.

You're not wrong but I'm going to give him credit anyway because I'm hoping, like a dog, a treat and an atta boy makes him keep doing good things so he gets more treats

Deep down, we all know why they can't get the BLADE movie off the ground.
It's because some mfers are always trying to ice skate uphill.

Though real talk ofc the Imperium of Man would have thousands and thousands of different accents so American would be totally fine really.

It's a universe of eternal suffering. Why would the accents be of anything else

He's Canadian but if it's for accent reasons then yeah I doubt he can pull off the psuedo-British accent I imagine is the Imperium standard.

Incredible. A Labour politician picking his views on a civil rights issue because of factional reasons is somehow both hard to believe because it sounds so stupid and yet very easy to believe at the same time because factional warfare seems to be the raison d'etre for half of Labour.

Hmm, interesting. I've been specifically told that he said supportive comments to a group of LGBT people so I got multiple confirmations of the same event, which is why they all loathe him now - think he's fake and a chameleon.

Are you sure about this? I've heard from people who've met him that he's privately told them supportive things about trans rights and then said the opposite in interviews etc as the issue became more toxic and the GC side got more support.

I think it was always the plan to maximise seats with broad but shallow majorities while losing some voters in safe urban seats, but they went too far and lost more than they expected. But rather than admit they fucked it a bit and tack back a bit they've doubled and tripled down.

Yeah that seems to be it. He's a dodgy criminal who the Sun is helping because it's a chance to take a pop at a senior Labour politician even though the substance is entirely on Lammy's side.

Indeed. Show, zero telling like this is optimal, half-tell like JadziaMyOldFriend.gif with characters not skipping a beat is second best and making a big deal out of it like Adira & Stamets is the worst option. It's a post-bigotry universe (mostly), characters shouldn't even notice. It's just there.

No one in the ST universe should give a shit! Being non-binary should be commonplace, a completely accepted norm. Adira shouldn't be saying it like it's a scary thing to say and Stamets shouldn't be responding like he needs to be super sensitive about it. "ok you're NB pass me the warpcore doodad"
comment in response to

This reminds me of the ST Discovery episode where Adira comes out as non-binary to Stamets and it's filmed in this way like it's a big character moment and the way Adira says it and the way Stamets responds is completely cringe because it's so clearly based off modern day politics.

We had 15 years of catastrophising language on immigration under successive Tory govts. Remind me, how well did such framings work as a way to neutralise Farage/persuade the Farage curious?
