Although it happened in Spain and as I found out, Spanish speakers have troubles pronouncing my name. I guess I'll just pretend the W is silent.

I wouldn't rule out that the "west" (I guess like US and UK) could've pushed Ukraine against the peace, but at the end of the day, I don't know how unreasonable Russia's demands would've been anyways. I do blame them for inadequate militarily support, though.

At the end of the day I don't know what would be the demands from Putin. If it meant ceding, say, Mariupol, that would've meant massacres many times the size of one in Bucha being hidden away for decades by Russian regime.

Pretty sure peace talks ended in 2022 because of Bucha massacre. Perhaps in hindsight peace deal would've been the most favourable back then, but if Russia demanded neutrality, Ukraine would've been left without proper protection, waiting for another invasion, but much more competent.

I don't like NATO, but for Ukrainian people it was a no-thinker, especially after than annexation of Crimea and proxy war in Donetsk. At the end of the day invasion of 2022 is why Finland and Sweden joined NATO, so personally if I cared about its expansion, I would simply not justify its presence.

I mean I'm from Russia and I've been following the news since 2014. Pretty sure I haven't read the New York Times in the first place.

Democrat backed militia overtaking Donetsk, posing as poor Russian speakers, to force Russia into a war 8 years later?
Interesting theory, sir. I will be taking notes.
