The $1600/mo is for 1br,1ba, 1100sqft basement space but it’s in DC, not VA.

That’s if it does become truly affordable housing for them. Reality is the cost of rent can still be out of reach for many individuals due to the gap between their income & the rising housing costs forcing rental fees to skyrocket.
Fixed low income seniors do struggle the most. This brings hope.
