Wow: Bluesky drives almost the same traffic to my blog (The Pragmatic Engineer Blog) as Twitter/X Data from last month. Just incredible that a site with ~33 million users and growing fast (Bluesky) punches as much as one that is supposedly 20x the size (Twitter/X is estimated around 600M users).

Include disabled people in resistance efforts. We are skilled at fighting systems of oppression. We fight against ableism & eugenics every day. We’re masters at contingency and emergency planning because we have to be to survive. Wear masks, make meetings accessible & inclusive.

Bluesky is “screen reader accessible” the way a staircase with curb cuts on each step is a “wheelchair ramp.” No keyboard nav. No useful landmarks. No focus memory. I lose my place every time I interact with a post. Compliance ≠ usability. Day 13 asking @support.bsky.team to fix this #A11yFail
