Depends on what you mean. Most people who say that mean the left needs to invest money in effective influencers like the right does. That's then mischaracterized by people looking for the worst possible interpretation to mean the left needs toxic people. The left needs the former, not the latter.

I also live in a country with free healthcare and kids not getting shot in school. Andrew Tate is a huge problem in England for example. You're not immune to the effectiveness of the extreme right just because you have healthcare.
