One of my cats, when she got elderly, would get all 4 paws in the box but still have her butt hanging over the edge. We put puppy pads around the box.

Every 10 years for adults. It's combined with tetanus and diphtheria - DPT or TdaP are a couple of abbreviations.

Wow! That is some static! My pup wriggles around on the carpet to get charged up, but never gets close to that.

My guess is 3/4" - I think the white strips are more than 1/4 of the width of the green ones.

Alas, no, but it wasn't because of the glasses. They wanted more of a lighting designer, and I am definitely a scenic.

The first time I went down a ship's ladder in progressives was at a job interview.

Kate is happily hoovering up the maple seeds.

Because our students rehearse on stage, my primary rant is DON'T BREAK THE SCENERY BEFORE I'VE FINISHED BUILDING IT!

Cellist here - I've never had to play in a suit jacket, but I would imagine that it's pretty constricting as well as hot. Hooray for fewer distractions from the music!

Jr high band was one of the only things I refused to sub for, back when I was a substitute teacher.

I would dearly love to see all the teacher critics last a week in my first job - 39 fourteen year olds in a lab built for 28. Times 5 different classes.

There's an eagle's nest that I can see on my way to work, and I always cheer at my first sight of them each spring.

Yeah, it would certainly throw me off.

Gotta make sure the ladder is well away from the tail, though!

I had a friend who wanted to make a test really quick to grade, so she did all the questions true-false, with all the answers false. She said it REALLY threw the students for a loop!

I've always assumed that those were red tails. Hard to take a good look when you're zooming by.

Ah, yes, similar to trying to unlock the back door with the car remote and tilting up my head to see through the bottom of my (non-bifocal) contacts.

Sometimes it's easier. If TD-Me wants to make design changes, I only have to argue with myself.

Yeah, I'm still looking for the perfect chemistry play.

That is a beauty!
Just finished a production of Deathtrap, which has a typewriter as a pretty important prop. My students were FASCINATED by it. I had to show them how it worked. *lolsob* I have so many archaic skills.

Arcadia and Silent Sky are on the list! First read Arcadia as an MFA (who hadn't had a lit class in 15 years) in a class full of PhDs. It was such a RELIEF to talk about things I knew for a change.

Still waiting 5 years later after an interview where they said, "We'll get back to you by the end of next week."

Where can I find a copy of the script? Someday before I retire, I WILL teach my "Science and Theatre" class, and this sounds like it might be an interesting addition to the syllabus.

We live 2 blocks from a fire station, and Kate always sings to the sirens. We sing, too, and now I have to consciously stop myself from howling to random sirens when I'm by myself.

Yes, they are fun! I just started reading Mauve and am thoroughly enjoying it.

Aw, poor baby. I'd still have to work 160 years to make 9.9 million. I don't think my knees will hold out that long.

It's too bad we can't have separate "Yappers" and "Nappers" sections.

Aw, I wish my organic labs had been that much fun! Now I want to try making scratch and sniff cards.
I think there's a typo - should "then" be "when" here?
"After getting started, the lights had mysteriously gone out, and then they came back"
