Seeing people like “what if he just lies and says he’s a democrat or a Marxist or whatever” as though that’ll get him off or something have lost their damn minds. This is not happening. It has never happened.

I understand people’s frustration at racial disparities in policing and treatment of suspects based on the color of their skin. I also don’t know who would think it would make anything better if this dude had been killed instead of brought in alive.

For a little while I had subscribed to the popular “Raiders is the best but Last Crusade is my favorite” line on Indiana Jones, but I’ve got no time for that anymore. I’m confident enough in my taste that I can just say I think Last Crusade is the best one.

My kids collaborated on this Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade themed shirt and hat, which I am apparently about to wear out in public.

We’re going to see Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in the theater for Father’s Day today. I love that at the beginning young Indy acquires all of his defining characteristics in one early afternoon, but everyone is so locked in that it doesn’t matter how silly that should be.

Whole bunch of people reading this like “yeah but the conspiratorial way tho”

I don’t mean this in the conspiratorial way, I accept that it happened, but how in the blue fuck can a country that turns out millions for anti-Trump protests and barely thousands for his lame ass birthday parade be <8 months out from having re-elected him?

Lookin good mister exercising-the-powers-of-the-presidency!

Everybody he thinks is his friend loathes him nearly as much as everybody who openly loathes him.

At the dance recital, “All These Things That I’ve Done” by the Killers starts playing. Me: Hell yeah, some contemporary music. Me, one second later: This song came out years before any of these girls were born.

Weather forecast for this evening in Washington, DC.

IPAs are fine and hating IPAs is fine and this is the beauty that is America.

Seeing people say this is just Texas trying to scare people away on a day when we just saw a democratic lawmaker assassinated is kind of crazy making.

If you take one thing away from today, let it be that we outnumber them.

There is no strict constitutional prohibition against assassination so it’s hard to see what the charges would even be in this case. by Jonathan Turley

I would like my state, every state, to mandate badges, name plates, no masks, for all law enforcement in the state. And if federal agents try to break the mandate, arrest them, then let the courts sort it out.

It would be a dereliction of duty not to say this but it would also be a dereliction of duty to fully mean it.

I continue to think it’s genuinely surprising that we did not really see political assassinations happen in the US since the onset of the Trump era nearly ten years ago. Real fuckin bad that we seem to have gotten there now.
