When are we going to talk about the fact that many of Trump's loudest fans are openly calling for lawless dictatorship, white supremacy, and mass violence - and that this contingent is the one being listened to by the White House, Stephen Miller, JD Vance, and DHS?

In the past week, a union leader has been arrested, a U.S. Rep charged with a crime, a U.S. Senator violently handcuffed, and reporters shot with rubber bullets and detained. There is no ambiguity. This is a regime operating as an authoritarian. Americans who believe in liberty must oppose it.

So this is better news, re: military willingness to go along with bad shit.

Pretty fucked up metaphor especially when it’s the tornado itself that is destroying assistance to people affected by tornados.

The cruelty in today's politics feels horribly corrosive. Bringing up that hard-working immigrant families — undocumented, yes, but not violent criminals — are being ripped apart based on immigration status doesn't bring compassion or even pause, but gleeful cheers.

Saw this and it made me giggle like a fool.

Here’s a harder one: say something you like about a movie you dislike-to-hate. I mostly don’t like La La Land; critics sold a modern day Singing in the Rain and it wasn’t that for me on either a music or dancing level, but the final 5-10 minute sequence is emotionally devastating (laudatory).

Any time military members want to start refusing illegal orders would be pretty fucking cool.

A cool Brian Wilson story from my dad, who worked as a studio engineer and keyboardist for a long time.

Pope Leo XIV, a Chicago native, stuns in a White Sox cap.
