Way too late to say "This is not who we are!" Rather, it's "this is what we have become!"

Where is John McCain when we need him? 😢

Trump knows NOTHING about economics and how the economy actually operates.

Glad to see it go (hopefully). Let's have real "football plays" and not just a human traffic jam and pile-up.

Clearly, being a soulless moron runs in the family.

From "Most Trusted Nation" status - to "Most Hated Nation" in just 90 days. And the decline is just getting underway. Institutions that could be counted on to maintain order and tradition have been decimated and eliminated. It will soon be every man for himself.
comment in response to post
It's already underway. Airlines will be soon publishing stats showing a progressive decline in tourists coming to the USA. Tourism is big business in the US and the impact will be very noticeable. The US is no longer trusted by any Country although they may say otherwise to stroke the President.
comment in response to post
It's understandable. The USA is no longer in the "most trusted nation" category. Trump's erratic behavior and tariffs have shattered norms around the world and have made most nations very hesitant to count on the US for anything of note.

In the long term, we're all dead. I prefer the short term gain.

Have you EVER seen anyone so cavalier and dismissive of his fellow man?

Down is definitely not the new up. And the stock market crash is not confusing at all. When a madman arbitrarily raises the price of virtually everything anyone buys, the economy can only contract; unemployment can only increase; bankruptcies can only increase; and only millionaires are unaffected.

The one here who is mis-dressed is The President. He forgot to wear his clown suit which is the gear his eminence most appropriately should be wearing.

That was a despicable display of outreach by Vance in Greenland. Just unbelievable.
comment in response to post
The Trump administration continues to degrade its own reputation across the world. I assume it is intentional thereby providing an excuse to stop foreign aid and cancel treaties without a reason. It's tragic. Imagine JD Vance going to Greenland and criticizing Denmark for not protecting Greenland!

It was a "trendy" purchase early in the game - but while Tesla has advanced its technology modestly, other automakers have really stepped up their game. There are many options out there (although I will always be an ICE guy).

He almost has no choice. Can you imagine a newly-minted Prime Minister unable to sit in the House of Commons on the very day Parliament returns from prorogation? That would have been embarrassing. He has momentum - but he is a climate change zealot even worse than Trudeau. Will voters care?

The Trump virus is more potent than COVID.

Perfectly proper policy for a guy like Trump who doesn't read and probably can't read. trump needs picture books to function.

Only an idiot like RFK Jr would suggest such madness.

I think he's also the guy that sank a critical 3-pointer with just a couple of minutes left and Maryland coming on strong?

That "boring old man" is certainly preying on Trump's mind right now! He's blamed Biden for every event, law, or ruling he doesn't like! But people see right through the madman's protestations. His approval ratings are dropping fast and there is no obvious path to recovery. He's a "destroyer".

Trump is in danger of causing a bit of a run on the US dollar hurting its reputation as the world's reserve currency.

Tourism to the US is on the decline and will accelerate. US travelers worldwide are going to be increasingly persona non grata as Trump's ridiculous "Reciprocal Tariffs" are launched against every Country (except perhaps Russia and North Korea). US people used to be welcomed. 😢
comment in response to post
I think a great story would be the decline in tourist travel to the US. Here in Canada, our major airlines have cancelled 20% or so of scheduled flights; planned travel is being cancelled in favor of Mexico and Central America; snowbirds are selling their properties; and more. It's spreading fast.

Thank You Jon - but as Trump disparages and "attacks" countries across the globe, tourism TO the US will decline and eventually dry up; and Americans - who LOVE to travel - will find themselves shunned and looked down upon in every Country. That is the unfortunate collateral damage of Trump!
comment in response to post
As the President bullies more & more nations across the globe; with perhaps the biggest shot at everyone coming April 02nd with so-called "Reciprocal Tariffs", travelling Americans will find themselves increasingly looked down upon and shunned. Tourism TO the US will also plummet. Collateral Damage!

Long term is looking better. As the market debacle continues, the Democrats' path to mid-term success is starting to take shape.
comment in response to post
That's a tragic result - but completely understandable given the antics of Donald Trump. I fear there will be similar feelings with almost all other traditional allies of the US as all have come to understand that the US is untrustworthy, economically aggressive, and with ZERO feelings for anyone.
comment in response to post
Trump will soon find out that isolationism, browbeating allies, unjustified tariffs & cozying up to the Axis of Evil will have no payoff for the US. Consumer confidence will dive; inflation will increase; budget deficits will INCREASE; & taxpayers will be VERY unhappy. Watch his approval rating.

Sounds like an upgrade from last year.

I'm sure he'll be a Met this time next week. He doesn't like playing 2nd fiddle to anyone - and with the Yankees, it will always be Judge first; Soto second. With the Mets, he'll be the story. He'd better hope for some bats around him so he gets pitched to!
