This week has been annoyingly hot, leading Heidi and I to repeat this bit of conversation that we’ve been saying over and over for YEARS! Originally, it was our stock answer for why we left Florida for Pennsylvania. Sadly, it seems like Florida has followed us, like the Shark in Jaws 4.

Since it's been super hot of late, and our house doubly so, we've been bringing Poe with us to work. He's a little old man puppy, after all. Heidi had him on Monday and Tuesday. Today is my day to have an office buddy. :)

With the heat being... cartoonishly annoying the last week, this strip has felt very relevant. Humiditities are a mixed bag, to be sure, but right now I am sooooo tired of being sweaty. lol

I almost missed that today is #makeaterriblecomicday! So, what better way to really capture the spirit of the day then by making a shoddy edit of LAST year's terrible comic! Woot!!! #terriblecomicday #drawabadcomicday

JAWS has been living rent-free in my head all week thanks to the 50th anniversary buzz. We rewatched it—still a flawless masterpiece. So OF COURSE I had to draw an homage! A parody of Roger Kastel’s iconic poster… with a slightly more personal twist.

So, we decided to watch K-Pop Demon Hunters on Netflix after stumbling over the trailer, and it was REALLY good. Didn't even know this existed, which is a shame.

The Summer begins in earnest THIS WEEKEND in Philly! The The National Cartoonists Society will be exhibiting at American Library Association conference, and I'll be there! Many thanks to Jamar Nicholas and the Philadelphia Chapter for the invite to tag along and play!

LINE! RIGHT NOW! Live Drawing Video!: Finding Dee Fish substack.com/@findingdee/...

I've not done so in a while, but methinks I shall do a drawing LiveStream at about 4:30 EDT! Hope to see you there.

In honor of the 36th anniversary of Tim Burton's BATMAN in 1989... a little goofing around for fun. :)

Truly, these are words of wisdom...

A couple months back, Heidi and I hit up a comic con at Moore College of Art & Design in Philly—where we had a fun run-in with fellow cartoonist Dawn Griffin! She was kind enough to let me turn the moment into a comic strip. :)

This heat is a bunch of BULLSHIT right here! UGH!!! I can't wait until October again.

If you see this, quote with an energy you bring to BlueSky:

Wait? Revenge of the Sith is 20? Back to the Future, the Breakfast Club and the Goonies are 40? JAWS IS 50?!? I'M 50?!? Stupid relentless march of linear time! The strip gets more and more relevant every year. Lol

So, I LOVE that there's a DVD version of Friday the 13th 3 IN 3D, with the red and blue glasses and it's awesome! I HATE that there's no similar 3D release of JAWS 3D done the same way. I just want to see it with the cheesey red and blue glasses, not have to buy a specialized Blu Ray player. GRRR!

I have a brief message for all the comic creators and cartoonists enjoying HEROES CON in Charlotte right now...

Reposting old strips can be tricky with semi-autobiographical comics—what was true then might not be now. I don’t pad my bra like this anymore (boob upgrade: complete), but this goof with the chicken cutlets still cracks me up. Worth the rerun! 😉

I started this painting when I was working on that Havenwolf cover last week, and finished it up after work tonight. This was purely a "just for fun" piece.

Hey! Happy 47th birthday to Garfield!! Next to Peanuts, Garfield was one of my chief influences at a very young age toward becoming a cartoonist, and I still love the guy!
