Part of the reason that Ange didn't have the depth in his squad is because Levy wouldn't front up with the readies to purchase some additional players.

Yes, and there is an ABC article today saying very much the same thing:

It is worth asking why is there such hysteria over a minor change that won't cost anybody very much at all. The neolibs of the world see this as a change in the zeitgeist. They are vehemently opposed to ANY shift that might suggest increasing taxation is a positive thing for society and the nation.

They might tinker at the edges of stuff, too. Like the changes to superannuation that was put up in the last parliament - not structural, but something at least. Reduce to two houses for negative gearing maybe?

If the initial #Liberal party reactions to last night's drubbing are any guide, they are not learning any lessons from this defeat. They need to reach out to the #Teals and have a genuine reconciliation with them. The Teals are mostly frustrated Libs anyway.

If they don't, that could be a risk too. There are plenty of issues that need addressing, tax base and housing being two of the most obvious. Albo needs to walk the fine line between leading REAL change and political pragmatism. #auspol

Lib response to all of this: " Nah, we wuz right but it wuz all Labor's fault!" No self reflection, no consolation, no intelligence.
