At some point people like that have gotta stop saying "the most important election of our lives."
I got to start voting during Obama's time in office and literally every election of my adult life has been the "most important of our lives."
It gets tiring. Real change is needed.

Hilarious how their response was "You're holding it wrong." when the traditional controller grips mean lots of people would stop just splaying their fingers across the back of the Switch.
Why put those there if not for that?

Finding larger boots is ver hard nowadays (at least in my area).
Even looking online at Dr Martens the biggest I ordered just seem significantly smaller once they get here.

Probably not the best time to say I got Bucket in under 100 casts just messing around aimlessly in holes when it was current.
No guide, no knowledge, just fishing and living my best life.

I feel like he might get one as he settles more into his role as *that* of Alexandria but maybe not this patch.
Hopefully by the end of the Dawntrail story!

So many good games in the 2020s...

Probably worth mentioning that BG3 is my first experience with the series and honestly my first actual interaction with D&D and the more traditional TTRPG style.

FFXIV can definitely count! It has had two expansions release so far in the 2020s!

Hard to choose just four but these are what I'm going with.
For the sake of making it *slightly* easier I didn't include any remakes or remasters or re-releases in consideration.

Part of me wants to say that FF I was bare bones for the WoL's story so it's understandable to some degree.
The other part of me wants to scream from the rooftops that Wizards can get absolutely fucked because FF I is my favorite in the series.

They're also adding fishing to FO76.

Was that 24lbs just the dealer itself or did it also account for tile weight?

Always great to see my favorite VAs getting more roles.

& the game wasn't even "ruined."
It's still a solid 7/10 but people want to live in a world where everything has to be AAA 10/10 and if it isn't they want to throw it in the garbage heap.
7/10, 8/10, and even 6/10 games still exist and are often still worth people's time.

Absolutely wild statement. I saw your post about getting carded at 37 and thought "There's no way this woman is actually in her 30s." *not that being in their 30s makes a woman unhireable or worth less.*

Also, in the modern world, there's a fucking plethora of 100% online options for degrees from countless universities and community colleges!
The original had a heartwarming "It takes a village!" message for Lilo and Stitch and they have decimated that.
comment in response to

Yes. Jumba and Pleakley move in and essentially act as live-in uncles/extra caretakers to help foster Lilo, help Stitch acclimate even more to being a better person, and take some of the load off of Nani's shoulders.
It's a wholesome "It takes a village!" ending.

Such a strange argument to me.
Ellie would've chosen to sacrifice herself for the potential cure imo.
Joel's actions were selfish. He took Ellie as a stand-in/replacement for Sarah and couldn't let another daughter die.
The entire game also hints at a terrible past. At best he was an antihero.
comment in response to

Them not being able to make a cure doesn't make Joel right.
It also wasn't right to decide on killing a child to try to make the cure without her informed consent in the procedure.
There were no "right" people in this scenario.

I think a reflection of Alphinaud having been *THAT CHARACTER* from 7.2 would've been a really interesting way to go if they wanted to explore what his character taken down a worse path would look like.
ARR Alph hubris to the maximum degree while seemingly lacking good morals.

I'm still a fan but I'm definitely weary with all of it.
Keifer ended up being plot related but you gotta wonder if that was always the case or if the plot decision was made because of the change in actors.
It also didn't help that people figured out that twist before the game ever released.

To be clear, I'm not saying VAs deserve to be paid pennies. I think they're extremely talented and should be paid well.
There's just a clear difference between the cost of Léa Seydoux vs a traditional VA like Lori Allen or Jodi Benson.
comment in response to

Letting Kojima ditch VAs for actual film stars was the worst decision any studio could've made.
Great director/film buff and puts out a great looking product but I don't need to hear Kiefer Sutherland in my game.
I also don't need to see Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Margaret Qualley, etc.

They'd never dare report the military "operated at a loss" but they'll continue to attack the USPS just like their overlords want.
comment in response to
post
When are we going to start reporting the "loss" the military operates at? Or any other government function?
The USPS is a vital service provided for the country.
It's not a private business with profits and losses. The cost of postage is only a small offset for the cost of operation.

Bankruptcy is bad. It destroys your credit and stays on your record for a long time making it nearly impossible to get new lines of credit afterwards.
It's not harmful to the rich because they don't need lines of credit. They have assets they can use as collateral in loans unlike poor people.

I agree.
If the money was being used to support unions, increase pay, have better conditions for staff, have better QA, etc I'd be fine with the jumps to $70 and $80.

It would be a huge boon for the country if we could get not only apartments but managed apartments that people could own in some way.
Probably not to the same point as a house, there would need to be some oversight, but some that aren't just pure forever rentals.

Individualism can be good but in the US we're taught individuality to such a high degree that many completely disregard their fellow man with a "Fuck you, got mine!" attitude.
It's pervasive in our culture and sickens me.

Not only do games make money hand over fist way beyond what music and movies do but they are also cheaper than the largest summer blockbusters.
Endgame was $356 mil before marketing.
No one is even considering raising the price of home films or tickets to such a large degree.

Don't look at time. That's wrong.
Civil War - RDJ - $40 mil
Stranger Tides - Depp - $35 mil
Matrix 2/3 - Keanu - $30 mil per
Weapon 4 - Gibson - $30 mil
Flower Moon - DiCaprio - $30 mil
AC Shadows cost around $250 mil to make. 28 films since 2007 have cost $250+ mil without including marketing.
