Happy 4/20!

Today was the 2 year anniversary of meeting my 10-year-old's oncologist and the team that would do their damdest over the next 18 months to help her survive... I love you Maggie! And will miss you forever...

Wrote another piece of my grief and posting it out there to maybe help someone else who can't quite find their words needed to process something like this. medium.com/@cancerdad/a...

Two years ago I made this same flight to Houston with my daughter for her great grandmother's funeral. Today I'm going alone to share with family the death of my daughter. Love you Maggie! #fuckcancer

IMPORTANT: If you live in the United States or Canada, you’ve probably heard Trump‘s constant claim that the United States is “subsidizing” Canada. It’s wrong of course, but here’s the best explanation I’ve seen about how & why it’s wrong. PLEASE WATCH & SHARE IT A LOT. Kudos to Andrew Chang & CBC.

A friend says that carbon tax isn't effective so we should get rid of it and instead implement better "transition" programs to slowly get to where we want to go. Pointing out that the past 30 years of giving in to that idea hasn't worked yet falls on dead ears. Makes me afraid we're lost :(

Damn #dementia and #alzheimers! Trying hard not to confuse the grandparent by talking about the grandchild they don't remember and feeling sad for everyone.

I'm writing a series of essays about being "Cancer Dad" ... find out more with my initial writing: medium.com/@cancerdad/w...

This is a "swoop" in Kelowna that makes people on bikes navigate a tight curve to save the removal of a channelized right turn lane. It doesn't promote road safety in a way we should be proud of.

I feel like too many people don't understand "-isms" so they think Socialism==Communism and Capitalism is the opposite of Socialism. Didn't we all learn about these terms in school? Can't we have a meaningful conversation?

Last night I rode my bike to an event with The Compassionate Friends. I was 1 of 2 who arrived by bike, it got a few more to say they could have ridden their bikes. Be an example and keep the conversation going. Advocating shouldn't use guilt but should prompt someone to ask, "What's stopping me?"

A friend pointed me to the poem, "The Elephant In The Room" by Terry Kettering. If you have ever lost someone I think it might resonate with you also. I talk to the elephant everyday lately. www.havenofnova.org/articles/poe...

10 years of a perfect life, 18 months battling cancer, and then it's over. Remembering is wonderful but leads to missing which is painful. #onedayatatime
