Today in #windowsARM #software woes: gcc doesn't support the platform (though clang/LLVM does), so no native ghc (or ghcup).

I recently replaced my personal laptop with a Windows-on-ARM laptop and every day sine has been exciting discoveries in stuff that just doesn't quite work right or work right yet on that platform. Today's discovery: all the toolbar icons are invisible on the native win/ARM version of LibreOffice.

Some more of my chimney swift #bird #photography came out well, even if some of the shots do end up being kind of small once I crop in on the birds themselves. The last has a pose that reminds me a bit of the NCC-1701 Enterprise.

In theory I'm out here in the churchyard adding to my collection of bird photos, but in fact I'm just accumulating more photos of a clear blue sky that I swear had a bird in it half a second before the shutter clicked. The problem is that chimney swifts love up to their name.
