I believe people convicted of felonies should still be integrated into society and allowed to have jobs and housing, vote, take leadership positions, and all the things. These MFers need to be removed from power because they're fascists, not because they're felons.

"As long as the scenario isn't going to be unsafe or improper, it is perfectly fine to play along with the senior's alternate reality. Doing so won't make the dementia worse. Keep in mind, the senior's reality is true to him/her and playing along can make your loved one feel more comfortable."

Because the cardinal rule of US government is that the levers of power are never to be used against rich white people in positions of authority.

It's not just "both sides" lazy journalism now. They are trying to openly alter our perception of reality to fit a pro-Trump narrative. The New York Times is a right-wing media outlet. No non-MAGA person should subscribe.

Testing the waters for a 25th amendment removal of Trump. Vance will do all the same horrible, evil, MAGA fascism. They'll rebrand and pretend everything is back to normal, the NYT will fawn over JD and Usha as the New Camelot, and we'll keep slip-sliding into hell.

Read up on what Curtis Yarvin wants to do, in terms of imprisonment, if you haven't already. He has the ear of the Vance/Thiel/Musk crowd. It's much worse than anything being broadly talked about right now.

Crash the economy, give corporations cover to do mass layoffs, replace the laid-off workers with AI and robots. Now, what to do with all those poors who have no jobs? Let them do mass protests, use facial recognition drones to ID them, brand them enemies of the state - boom, free prison labor!

Dude is like "take the red pill, get out of the metaphorical Matrix, and come help me build the literal Matrix. We can't do genocide, I guess, so let's do VR prison pods for the poors!"

"What would the Moomins do?" Is pretty much my life philosophy.

I really struggle to understand how abolitionists get painted as extremist weirdos but THIS is treated as totally normal and ok.

"In 1933, approximately 9.5 million Jews lived in Europe, only 1.7% of the total European population. The largest Jewish community was in Poland where 3,250,000 Jews, 9.8% of the Polish population, lived. Germany had approximately 565,000 Jews that made up less than 1% of its total population."
