Husband, Father, Pop I write terrible songs. I write great letters-to-the-editor! Firm believer that every one us can make a difference. (My pal Zero in the pic♥️)

Love it, also. Writing, directing, every single visual—brilliant—but the acting is—almost to a person—as deep and natural as anything I’ve seen. Devon and Mark’s relationship is subtle and intimate and real. By contrast, Cobel/Selvig is outrageous and large but just as authentic. Rich ensemble.

No fault of the church. I read many comments about bad experiences, evil/hypocritical individuals/institutions. My church promoted women as pastors, was active in community, pro-lgbtq+, helped homeless/poor here and abroad. I just realized I no longer believed. My hypocrisy only goes so far.

Anyone in the know—I’m now hearing Japan—which owns more of our debt than China—is selling off our bonds/debt, which will ultimately crush the dollar. Can anyone confirm

Anyone here in Europe? Any US govt workers or their fam/friends? Hearing ominous news we aren’t seeing on US networks—expecting Trump to leave NATO, 3-mile long military convoy on autobahn headed to join rest of German troops on border and in Poland. People advised to stock up on supplies? Any news?

ESPN is finally—slowly—getting over their anti-Louisville obsession—was hoping the NCAA would as well. Scrub you, Cunningham.

Agreed about the difference between conference championship game and Selection Sunday. It makes the conf tournament almost as meaningless as AP and Coaches Poll rankings. The selection committee will likely put Cards in a bracket with StJohns, Uk, and Arkansas.🤦‍♂️

I did the sugar cube—walked across the gym floor—I must have been about 4 —‘61 or ‘62. It was a Sunday—the whole community was there. People who talk about that experience always mention how everyone seemed grateful—relieved, even. Today—idiots would mock us—maybe block the doors.

Never 2–seldom 3–but often 1 and always 4

The Phillip Morris company used to host a free Country Music concert with multiple acts at Freedom Hall every year during KY Derby Festival. My dad loved country music and my mom loved “free.” Around ‘66 or ‘67, an unknown on the bill, Charlie Pride, performed and won over the crowd—and my dad!

Saw Stephen Stills at a little bar in Louisville (Coyote’s) in early 90’s. Wife’s BIL got a tip he was going to be there. Got in early, table nearest mic/stool. He was quite late (he came from Grateful Dead concert at Freedom Hall) but played all night—awesome!

Agreed—what a failure of leadership after every House Dem stuck out their necks to do the right thing!

I just don’t understand their reasoning—spend all day swearing Dems will vote NO—that the shutdown will be on the Republicans—then fold and say Trump will have less support in September? They’ve just made him stronger. Can’t help but feel something else is up—maybe he’s on Epstein list.

Two come to mind: “Little Brother” (‘cause that was me, growing up😊) And “The Immigrant.” There WAS a time when strangers were welcome here…

What a great song—“the capturing of whispers” —pure poetry. “…tame and toothless tabby.” Lush!

My sister had the same experience. I was 5 when she had her last surgery. I recall standing on a fruit crate outside the hospital timidly waving to her through a window with a dark rusted screen. I don’t remember her being home much until shortly after that. Now at 77 she’s needing her brace again.

My oldest sister (10 years between us) was stricken with polio at age 2–she had a rough time of it—I hope your experience was not as bad. It certainly left its mark but never deterred her from full and successful life. I had chicken pox, followed by measles and mumps in first grade—we can’t go back.

What’s more intriguing is how the children of these seniors clearly want to help take care of mom and dad and nana and poppy—according to the numbers.

Not sure the actual percentage of MAGA seniors but am thankful 95% of the ones I know were Harris/Walz and still are BLUE all the way.
