I kind of like how unambitious world 1 is. It's neat to see how the mod got more ambitious as time went on, and it's nice to see each world outdo the previous one.
That being said, since people do tend to give up early in this mod (no idea why), I do understand why you'd want to improve world 1.

There have definitely been more copy ability combo mechanics since, such as star allies and squeak Squad. But Kirby 64 is the only time you could combine any 2 abilities. Probably because it forced the game to have less complicated abilities, and less abilities overall.
