Great that you can do that, but the point is that others are now at severe risk of being pressured or bullied into something they DON’T want to do. There could have been safeguards to protect those at risk but sadly we have a bad bill instead

It’s a bad bill without the safeguards we need to safeguard vulnerable people from being coerced, whether they’re disabled, elderly or there’s a power imbalance. If you’re not concerned you’re not paying attention.

Exactly this. The lack of safeguards for those who could be vulnerable to pressure due to disability, age, or power imbalances should be a red flag for all of us.

But that has to be combined with safeguards, for example for people who are disabled and/or vulnerable and could be pressured into something that ISN’T their choice. Concerned by calls that don’t recognise those voices.

Thank you - completely agree with your position, critical we have safeguards for the most vulnerable to move forward.

Where is the U.K. as a foreign state attacks a U.K. ship on a humanitarian mission in international waters?

I chose that word with care and if it makes you uncomfortable ask yourself why. You’re attacking those who see providing military, political and financial backing for genocide as a red line, who see a Palestinian life as equal to yours or mine. Shameful.

It was an impossible choice and I understand why some voted Harris seeing Trump as even more dangerous while other voted third party. What disgusts me is people like you making excuses for the utterly despicable position Harris took on the MidEast

Your racism is sickening frankly. You might be able to turn a blind eye to an administration backing a regime starving a people, massacring journos & burning patients alive in tents because it’s only Palestinians but many aren’t that dead inside.

And let’s be clear. I have always opposed Trump. Everyone in my life opposes Trump - that’s why they’re in my life. That isn’t the point here. This is about Harris’ choice to back a regime exterminating a people to seize more land for an apartheid state.

It’s sadly hilarious that Harris actively chose continued support for a brutal apartheid regime committing genocide and you still make excuses for that.

A live-streamed genocide affects any decent person. Harris had the chance to change course and she chose not to. That’s on her and her campaign not voters who aren’t willing to close their eyes to an apartheid regime committing mass slaughter.

In fact, polling shows it DID matter. Her choice to keep supporting genocide lost the very voters who’d normally get behind a Black woman president - anti-racist voters generally aren’t fans of supporting apartheid.
