I'll be honest and say I really liked Dobson's sonic. It harkens back to The Rani being an amoral scientist with its design as a "syringe." However, I have a *large* collection of sonics so I think they aimed it at people like me who collect props.

Yeah, she started off just wanting to "get home" because she had a job back on Earth, and was pretty damn strong as a companion. To boil it all down to "Oh, she's just a mum" was an insult. That and bringing the Rani back for two episodes... what the hell?

A YouTuber I follow put it in the best way, I think... previous series of Doctor Who had 13-15 episodes, so there was breathing room to have multiple plots. Right now? It's 8 episodes per series so they can't afford to have more than one plot. Plus Belinda's arc fell so flat at the end!

I *should* take offense to that... but you're not wrong. To get you back I read your posts in a horrible Welsh accent.

I absolutely adored Ncuti Gatwa and will miss him. I think we're just seeing the "Disney-fication" of Doctor Who. I grew up watching Pertwee and Tom Baker on PBS here in the States... cheap effects, but amazing stories (for the most part). Jodie also, sadly, suffered from poor writing.

46% of employers don't offer *any* form of health insurance... and, yeah, the ones who do often under-schedule employees so they don't have to provide it. What worries me is that I'm disabled but it's an "invisible" disability... so, who decides "able bodied"? At first glance I *am* but I'm not...

I wonder just how many sociopaths cloak their behavior as "religion." That's just cruelty and another reason why I don't trust zealots.

The judge's response was enough to make my blood boil... "I would love to say you are remorseful. I suspect you are not."
No. They aren't remorseful and shouldn't be. It's a fucking genocide, not some tiny council matter.

If I were a far more charitable man (and I didn't already know he was a bigot by *denying* a genocide) I could put it up to our inability to process death on a mass scale... 10 is more "real" than tens of thousands (conceptually) to our squishy brains...
But I'm not that charitable. Fuck him.
