I also think voting for individuals that seem to have a decent shot is not a bad idea, like I’m never gonna suggest not to vote green in Bristol yknow? But I think a blanket ‘let’s vote green’ across the country is probably a bad call

Totally a fair point (though I’d question who these ‘independent socialists’ are, George Galloway should die in a hole)
I understand and wouldn’t really hold it against anyone that does want to jump ship(this is also saying a lot considering I voted LD repeatedly)but I’m not sure it’s the best step

This also means we should obviously seek to concede some of the less important points, like, I don’t need every business to be a worker co-op, as much as I think it’d be beneficial, I can let that go to achieve power and hold on to other, more important beliefs.

You probably give up on Labour when it doesn’t give you a boost to use its name, cynically. The only thing that matters in politics is winning votes. If using the Labour name is what gets progressives into power, that’s what we should use.

I unfortunately do not follow what you’re saying, which part are we talking about exactly?

You lose all sway and all ability to actually push for change if you become an independent or join a non-leading party. Like, don’t get me wrong, I think Denyer is ite, but she doesn’t exactly have any sway in parliament. We need progressives within Labour. We can’t abandon its current fate

Unnecessarily hostile?
This was the first episode that felt like an actual dwho episode, avoided most of the ‘second content’ issues and didn’t feel like a cbbc show.

I understand your point but also what do you want them to do lol, invade? This is the consequence of globalisation and free trade

The DNC pushed through a THOROUGHLY unlikeable politician in Clinton that absolutely helped Trump win.
She’s obviously still more qualified than Trump but her baggage was immense, on top of her being a neolib. The DNC/establishment continues to not learn lessons

I feel this is especially problematic cause properties haven’t been revalued for decades, so it’s got added ‘oh it was expensive here at one point’ vibes

You’re so right btw, Ao3 would go bananas for a marauders show

I think it’s problematic to find non-impactful tax rises, and that any negatively impactful tax rises would be better used for infra spending or something directly beneficial to the UK tbh
comment in response to

I mean, what’s your preference, outside of tax rises, this seems like the best way to have minimal impact on Britain, no?

Idk, spending cuts across the board would probably be necessary if we had to uphold the inevitable article 5 obligations when Russia decides to overstep boundaries into Baltic countries after Ukraine. It’s unfortunate to cut FA now, but better than sacrificing Ukraine and cutting FA later

This actually could be fun for a low level intro quest to get the characters working together in their drudgery of everyday life. Sprinkle in a bit of ‘huh that seems weird’ and you have future ties
Also helps to get players to grips with the city they’re based in

Cut all of this to save less than 1% of what they spend on interest alone

Real. I think a little penalty like -1k for each faithful voted out, and then like +5k for a traitor could be a solid idea, there’s always just a morale boost to getting a traitor in general though, even though mechanically it doesn’t matter
comment in response to
post
Feels like it was a suicide pill for a faithful to pick a traitor, mega unfortunate. Maybe better with a more capable cast?
comment in response to

This is a bit of a weird one though, cause the ‘you can ignore every maga account’ type starter pack wouldn’t really work if you could opt out/had to approve initially.
(It does seem kinda silly that you have no control over what starter list you’re on tho)

Seems crazy that they’re privatised but there’s no actual competition. Make it make sense

Hi, yeah. Turns out they don’t stop counting until they’ve counted all the votes? Just because you went to sleep, doesn’t mean they stopped counting lol

Trump literally brought dozens of lawsuits into courts all alleging issues with the election that had no evidence backing them up. 2020 WAS looked into, it was taken to court, his claims were frivolous lmao

?? I think if there was an election I would’ve seen something on the news about it buster.
You’re trying to spread misinformation and it’s not gonna work.

I like to think this is the case, feels better to think that there’s election fraud than 6m or so voters just decided fascism was fine for a term
