The outrage is long overdue. Everything you need to know about Trump, Epstein, the transnational networks trafficking minors, and media complicity was published by @sarahkendzior.bsky.social in her brave, brilliant book "Hiding in Plain Sight" in 2020. Highest and most sobering recommendation. (!)

The Financial Times editorial board calls on all members of the European Union to -Ban trade with Israeli settlements -Sanction settlers and settler organizations -Suspend offensive weapon exports to Israel -Sanction Smotrich and Ben-Gvir -Recognize the State of Palestine

"The America we thought we knew is not coming back...the second Trump administration is an entirely different beast." "This idea that we can just wait him out, relying on old assumptions about the political cycle is something we have to be really careful with." @emmashortis.bsky.social #auspol

Slick has been given a reprint --now with a fancy sticker on the cover. If you want to understand Why We Are Like This on climate change, or read about things like that one time the oil and gas industry spied on the son of a prime minister, and you haven't picked up a copy, now's your chance!

Another “spatial refuge” finally succumbs to rising sea temperatures. The hopeful narrative that isolated “heat-resistant reefs” will continue to avoid climate change (and somehow recolonise everywhere else) is wearing very thin. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Santos CEO Kevin Gallagher used his speech to AEP to call for "energy realism" in the energy transition. He did not mention the end goal of this transition is a managed phase out of oil, gas and coal but suggested this "realism" in Australia required more fossil fuel development.

Just in case you've forgotten - the coalition absolutely stuffed the NBN - for political reasons - and we've paid the price in tens of billions of dollars and a shite service #auspol independentaustralia.net/politics/pol...

Everything about the stadium is disastrous. It is totally unnecessary, will barely be used, will bankrupt the state and ruin heritage sites - it must be ditched. Tell the AFL to go fuck themselves. No other state had to do what they’re insisting TAS do.

Great read from Richard Flanagan on the AFL stadium. Original budget $375 million, now $1.86 billion, for just 7 games a year, in breach of all planning and heritage laws, opposed by 70% of Tasmanians. Truly unconscionable by the AFL. #auspol #afl www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/share/20890/...

“There’s a possibility that Musk has now grasped the full impact of the removal of all EV, battery, and solar incentives. Without ZEV credits, EV tax credit, ITC & battery mfg credits, $TSLA would have lost money in Q1 2025” Did Elon finally get it? Running out of Ketamine? $TSLAQ #teslatakedown

From HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT (2020): "Trump covers up crime with scandal. That is his main propaganda tactic, the one few seem to be able to discern...The crimes are much worse than the scandals, but the media will always take the scandal bait." www.hidinginplainsightbook.com

I'm actually super fucking mad that the Elon Musk era is gonna end because of narcissist infighting with a former reality TV show host, and not because even a single institution in American life made a serious effort to hold him responsible for a decade plus long crime spree

We are in a fossil fuel climate crisis. 30,000 Canadians displaced from wildfires, dangerous air quality thousands of miles away. Meanwhile, oil & gas is Canada’s largest source of emissions & their GHGs ⬆️ 70% from 2005-2023, while 🇨🇦’s GHGs ⬇️ by 8.5%. They are the problem.

Perhaps we should stop giving unlimited power to narcissistic megalomaniacs with stimulant and sexual impropriety issues who believe their god-given destiny is to marshal a cult of personality and use it to exert complete ownership over the planet and the labor of everyone on it. Just a thought.

This was a bad decision @albomp.bsky.social One that will be held against you for decades. It will come back to bite you every time you try to claim the high moral ground on climate change. www.smh.com.au/business/the...

Yeah, the PRRT is stuffed. And gas companies are laughing at us all

A new era of wildfire smoke is undoing decades of progress in cleaning the air Americans breathe. In fact, wildfire smoke may be a bigger threat to our health & prosperity than many other climate-change effects combined 🎁 link to my @opinion.bloomberg.com column www.bloomberg.com/opinion/arti...

The government promised to make gas giants pay their share. Instead, we're missing out on billions in tax income. We have to stop giving our futures away for free, and damaging our country and climate in the process.

Trump’s economic policies are often geared at benefiting corporations and wealthy individuals. However #Taco #Trump newest bill is likely to shave up to 52% off Tesla’s EBIT [it] would outlaw ZEV regulatory credits. Without them, Tesla would have posted loss last quarter. #Musked $TSLA $TSLAQ 🍿
