I know you aren't going to want to hear this but the reason the system can deport Mahmoud Khalil and send Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador is that for years we've been executing factually innocent people like Marcellus Williams and sending legally innocent people to places like Riker's Island.

1. Stop assuming people announce all their activism on social media. 2. Stop demanding people announce all their activism on social media. 3. Stop deriding people for not announcing all their activism on social media. 4. Dunking on people on social media isn't activism and isn't praxis.

I like how Millenials have gone from unprecedented thing to unprecedented our entire adult lives and now are moving on to experiencing historic precedents for how NOT to do things.

If we’re being honest, he walked clear eyed with purpose into it. He knows full well and that was the point. Schumer is calling him Mr. Magoo when he’s Lord Farquaad.

Pitchbot will get to a point of The Onion. Satire will die because the reality will be so absurd.

Stop saying "don't let perfect be the enemy of good" about politicians who are absolute shit.

I'm going to tell you a true story. And when I'm done, you'll never look at homeless people the same way again. Several years ago, when I was still working at a legal aid clinic, a partner organization asked us to take the case of a quintessential little old lady. She was in her 80s, and homeless.

One of the most infuriating bad faith arguments I see all the time is that tenant protection laws make rents higher or reduce affordable housing. Put another way, you're saying that the poors don't deserve good quality housing and should just take whatever they get. Fuck that, actually.

I’m coming to the conclusion that the US is letting exurban politics drive the country’s discourse. These folks live in fear of an urban core they depend on but are oblivious to and don’t understand, claim to be rural when they have no clue on actual problems that rural people face.
