In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services. Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt. While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant of +£18.42tn. That's how privatisation 'works'.

The first 27 days of 2025 globally are the warmest first 27 days on record. Up to the 27th the average is 0.11C warmer than the start of 2024, the previous record. It’s now certain January 2025 will be the warmest on record globally. Yet another record warm month to add to the list.

I'm going to repeat this because it's getting lost in the more popular clip being the salute. ELON REFERENCED THE 14 WORDS AFTER HE DID IT. "It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured" is an allusion to the 14 words. There is ZERO debate about his intentions. He said it himself.

Talking to friends about this, I realised the big difference between cycling in the UK and NL is the mental load. In the UK, I’m constantly alert, looking in every direction, navigating bad junctions, expecting drivers to put me at risk. In NL, I can assume I am largely safe and just cycle.
