Leeds United fan. Now living in Scotland & might mention St Johnstone occasionally. Basketball player… point guard (retired but still a hooper).

I’m not sure why but I’m also fascinated by NYC during the 70’s & 80’s. Fantastic set of photos!

Absolutely!
They’ve been breaking the rules for ages. Since that liquidation, they’ve been investigated for FFP irregularities that resulted in promotion in 2014. Every time they’ve been promoted recently, they’ve broken the rules.

Just watching BBC News & the TV version of this is no better. Appalling coverage.

This was Killin but there’s loads of beautiful beaches on the northern west coast and isles. The temperature is unpredictable but some of the beaches are beautiful. My friend is on the isle of Mulll today, which has some amazing beaches.

Everton fans absolutely hate him and say he’s not good enough. I’m not sure he’d have got into our team this season so no chance we should be considering him for the Prem. We need to be aiming for higher calibre of player.

It might sound nice as an idea but where’s the money gonna come from for the country to stay afloat?
Whenever it’s talked about up here it’s all very “Brexit” or Jesse Marsch sounding. Lots of nice ideas but nobody seems to have any answers or specifics on how it’s going to be successful.

One of my best friends always says those seasons in League 1 were some of the best. Part novelty for some of the teams we were playing but great atmospheres because it felt like it was us against the world after all the points deductions. That’s even with the lower attendances at a lot of the games.

I was there too, sat in the Kop. Was fantastic for all the things you describe. A rollercoaster of a match! Wild celebrations!

Don’t know why but this got me thinking of our last match in the EPL. What a starting line up… 😂

This is exactly the sort of thing I’m thinking. Massively inflated sponsorship prices for bespoke sponsorship.

I think this is why I’m so drawn to the commercial deals or sponsorships. I’d rather we try to harness that before having to sell players we love.
It’s been reported we’ll automatically get increased income from both Adidas & Redbull so assume all current deals have increases. 🤷🏻♂️

Ideally, I want a way to create as much perpetual PSR wiggle room as possible that doesn’t include profit from ongoing player sales.
Clubs will always sell players but I don’t want the main/sole reason to be able to comply with PSR.

Sponsorship does feel like the most exploitable & we definitely need to be exploring every avenue possible.
It really does feel like PSR has just frozen all the clubs in time at the point of its introduction… even more so now with additional rules & closing of loopholes.

I was exactly the same. I’ve no idea if it was just a coping mechanism but towards the end of the last game I was suddenly very intense about us winning & celebrated that Solomon goal like crazy.
