It’s definitely an outsider thing , the north east especially Newcastle feels like its own country so that’s why we welcome outsiders because we are outsiders in the UK I think anyway, but so nice to hear a positive story in such a horrible week of news.

He was mainly excellent, but did have games where he dipped well below his best and that was down to playing too many games, again squad depth was to blame imo.

Town Wall is good, also the Newcastle Tap

If Liverpool sign that Wirtz lad then they’ll be champions again,if not then City. We’ll be either 2nd or 3rd. Sunderland,West Ham and Burnley to go down.

That’s the fake one

I’d sign him, as a back up to Isak but only if we also sign a goal scoring RW. I think Eddie could get a player out of him for sure.
comment in response to post
Nah, he’s on the up and only gonna get better, but he played too many games last season and looked shattered towards the end. But if Man City were pay 80mill plus then as a business you have to look at it.

Paul Mitchell is going end of June , seems odd timing
comment in response to post
Absolutely, sounds a bit mad but this is a season of missed opportunities and taken opportunities, a proper rollercoaster of a season

Sheffield deserved to get beat because they were so casual, if I was their manager I’d be going ape shit with them , and obviously Hamer going changed the game. But like all teams that go up now they’ll struggle.
comment in response to post
We can’t lose either way because we would be one of the favourites for Europa or conference cups but highly unlikely to win CL but financially entrance into that is obviously better. Cup or money?
comment in response to post
Are both teams playing for a draw? There’s been no hard tackling and it’s been you have the ball, no you have the ball. On the other hand this Nufc team has changed as in they don’t go to these places to expect a defeat they want to win , no fear.

It highlights what a bad result at Villa has done, that was a six pointer that we might come to regret.
comment in response to post
We were in the game 1st half but 2nd half we just looked shattered and once things start going against you the game soon goes away and Villa were well up for it after their euro exit. But we’re still in a great position.

The best midfielder I’ve seen in his position and his position is the entire pitch. He’s a mix of Tiote and Cabaye

I think so too, winning the League Cup is like unchaining the club and is probably the most important thing that’s happened to club since whenever. Stating the obvious I suppose. 3 top players in the summer and some promising young players and we’ll have the League by April!

Dan Burn = Brut Bruno = something coconuty Trippier = brewdog punk ipa And so on….
comment in response to post
Barnes to start ,Gordon from the bench to replace Murphy on 65 mins, but my concern is keeping Isak fit as Wilson looks like injuries have taken the toll on him and he’s not the same player as 2 seasons ago.
comment in response to post
Ah , well they’re cool .
comment in response to post
He’s no Gordon though. But definitely a player to lighten the load on Gordon
comment in response to post
Never mind the tears… cool trainers! Nike Dunk Jarritos I think.
comment in response to post
Him and Murphy sharing the load next season with us in Europe to bare in mind would be great

Weekend calories don’t count! Happy birthday.

Yes Tino was so much better today than of late , a real coming of age performance and now he real deserves to be an England player.

Salah goes off injured after Dan Burn smashes him in the 11 minute and only a ticking off by the ref to the fury of Liverpool and Jamie Carragher. We then go on to win 2 -0 with goals from Miley and Osula who both handled the ball in the build up like big Jo against Spurs.
comment in response to post
From what I’ve seen there’s not many really good ones around.
comment in response to post
So many of the players have lost form over the past month, but aye I suppose it hasn’t been brilliant if you add up who’s looked poor. This cup final is hurting us in the league.
comment in response to post
We’re just so tentative, West Ham are looking to soak pressure then expose our pace at the back like the home game.Dull game so far.
comment in response to post
How many times going down the left have we got to their box then just turned around and the ball ends up with Schar or Burn back in our half. No one has their shooting boots on. We’ve played ok but fuck me Tino and Barnes aren’t Hall and Gordon replacements. Tonali looks well pissed off.

Down to eighth might be a psychological issue, but the team have only themselves to blame with some real turdshit performances against teams we should be beating if we think we’re a top team. Must win on Monday.
comment in response to post
We need to let loose, get them riled up,early yellow cards for them and make sure Burn and Schar stay in position and take our chances, job done!
comment in response to post
Money talks, huge contracts incoming perhaps. Also the promise of top level players coming and I still think we’re one of the most interesting projects in Europe.
comment in response to post
Those subs wouldn’t have made any difference, Osula needs more game time but it’s hard to see when and where. Barnes is unhappy and rarely affects the game now. Miley again looks class
comment in response to post
I honestly think we’ve been decent probably until the 2 nd but even then the heads haven’t dropped, but the running from Isak has been so missed. But I don’t think the cup final is a forgone conclusion.
comment in response to post
I deleted it about two months ago and I now know that a lot of brain fog or whatever it’s called was caused by X so I’d definitely recommend cutting it out of your life.
comment in response to post
If we are losing with say 20 minutes to go do we go after Salah take a red or two and put him out of action for a while? It would be naughty but I bet Van Dyk will be clattering into Isak a few times.
comment in response to post
It wasn’t that bad, but I think nervous quietness from the crowd at times is normal for all clubs and we’re not alone in that.
comment in response to post
Same

The issue is he’s gonna struggle to get match sharp by just coming on as sub which he will so I think for his sake he’ll want to move on in the summer no matter what Howe feels about keeping him.
comment in response to post
I thought Dubs was brilliant last night , his punching from corners , his ball control and that save was great, just like the form he was in when he first joined us
comment in response to post
Isak or Bruno, Gordon injured or banned equals season fucked. Squad is so bang average once you get passed the say first 12/13 players. Very big gamble not to even try the loan market.
comment in response to post
Euro places will probably be top 8 positions so if that doesn’t happen then I’d be very surprised and disappointed. I do think we’ll come again probably after the international break in March when we’ll already have the League Cup in the bag!
comment in response to post
We do need a top class RW, but Hall and are fantastic talents for being so young, and it’s inevitable they’ll have the odd off game. Murphy looked out of sorts 2nd half of the game and Schar defo played with an injury. I don’t understand why no loans are being discussed even just to boost the squad.
comment in response to post
There’s nobody coming in thats of sure ,outgoings just be Kelly but he was signed to sell so might as well while theres interest. It’s a high risk policy cos no Europe no Isak or Bruno id reckon
comment in response to post
There was passage of play where the ball was played up to Murphy and he looked absolutely favourite to win and maybe turn his man but he just watched the ball go past him and run out of play, it was so strange and the crowd reaction was of “eh why’s he let that go”. It was a really strange 2nd half.
comment in response to post
I’d say the bench is decent, but they all seem to be in a huff and not pushing the 1st 11 at all. So we’re playing very high risk football management cos we all know what will happen if no Europe next season. Kelly makes sense to go now Sven is fit and he was signed to sell on at some point
