Clown bloc is a really great tactic to get distance between marchers and fash of any kind, but especially cops. there are lots of ways this presence can be mitigated and isolated, but the peace policing instinct is way too strong under the code of conduct your banner gives you. thatâs all.

and also its good to note that the goal of every infiltration is not actually always about information acquisition. usually⌠itâs about sowing distrust. đ¤ˇ

you are the one saying i am suggesting violence here. you know there is a huge gap between âthe cops feel comfortable acting like they belong hereâ and âtrashfires in the streetsâ, right? your lack of imagination is not my problem.

i read that he has been open carrying at marches for like years now. itâs not the same there as it is even over here.

iâm sorry the organizing and infiltration if that event brought harm to you. my only goal is to keep everyone safer, including you.

it seems like your 50501 code of conduct is making you vulnerable to open and blatant police infiltration, to me. no lecture here, this place doesnât have the word count for that. just pointing at the obvious, for public viewing.

we all need to be angry enough to do something and tell ice to get the fuck out and we need to cut the portland police budget because they should not be getting paid to traumatize young kids and cause ecological harm to both people and our environment.

What we need to do is get very good at spotting this & rejecting the premise from the outset, and then choosing a better frame.
*What is a woman?*
False premise. A woman is not a what. A woman is a who.
Fascists do not want to see people as "whos." That isn't their venue.

Fascists like Mace know we are wired to accept premises, and so they construct questions in such a way as to win the venue. This is true *even if we disagree* with the person who is offering the proposition. We accept the frame, then we argue the contrary position.
But first we accept the frame.

and this is precisely why i am hoping against, apparently, the popular tide, on âuprisingâ rather than âcivil warâ, because one of those things has clear lines of combat, usually along border walls.

this is the trap of respectability politics. a crowd that big could have been cop free in under an hour, but anyone who made the cops feel unwelcome got admonished by the crowd. culture issue.

so the whole âwe donât invite the copsâ thing, that we went thru on here. yeah, did yâall change your mind on that? because the cop corkers are only gonna be useful to you for maybe two more marches before they turn on you. just fair warning.

i know, itâs like the cops were itching to point their guns at someone, they just couldnât stop themselves, they had to riot. but we canât expect any better of them, really.

for me, i was so confused and disappointed when the response was âwill never be defeatedâ rather than âthe people united with never be divided.â which RHYMES and maybe i am mandelaâd but i swear i heard âdividedâ first!

so many mixed feelings about how everyone is showing up. sick of the flags, sick of what it means in the crowd (we havenât unlearned patriotism), and yet thankful that people have begun their disillusionment. wish it wasnât so cringeâŚ

once the bastard pigs fire live ammo on protesters strategy needs to change and we all need to be ready for that as a very real possibility. learn from what has happened elsewhere.
guns were pulled on our comrades three times today. that is three times to many to not take that as a serious threat.
