The Roberts Court majority really trying to prove that they are more despicable than the Taney and Lochner-Era Courts combined.

The whole thing is a little surreal. There's this major international tournament going on, and the overwhelming attitude over here is "meh." Not sure if it's the pricing, the odious nature of Infantino cramming this down our throats, or the more important events happening.

Among the US Liverpool supporters, the only king we recognize.

The saving grace, here, is that the player is dead set on playing for Liverpool. This is the leverage that will get the deal done.
If he wasn’t, the added time would give another club a chance to turn his head and his club with a better offer.
Sounds like it’s down to payment structure now.

As an American, I'd advise staying away until we fix this.

All true.
An additional observation, however. It's an old cliche, but "deals happen fast." The longer it takes to go from term sheet/agreement-in-principle to contract, the more opportunity for change in circumstances to kill the deal. When things drag on, I get worried.

I've watched Top Gun so many times, it's become camp. It always was amusing to those of us in the Navy, but over the years it's become a comedy. I've watched it with fellow vets and friends, and the whole thing turns into a Mystery Science Theatre 3000 mock fest.

Mav, you have the number of that truck-driving school we saw on TV? Truck Master, I think it is. I might need that.

The €10 million from Madrid makes me very happy, though.

Once: 149 in GW 24 (yea, Mo!).
This actually makes me feel pretty good about my season, after a run of small red arrows in the last few weeks. Only one century and still finished on 38k.
comment in response to

That was my thought, too. Wirtz centrally provides all kinds of flexibility: up or deep to receive, runs behind or late arriving, rotations with wingers. Just all kinds of options for operational deception.

Huge thanks, Dan. Greatly appreciate all the hard work making it fun for us and building the FPL community here in the US.
You’re a true legend.

Looks like you hit a really unlucky patch right after that, then spent the rest of the season clawing back up. Well played.
I went conservative, pretty template after getting sub 10k, which I believe was the right strategy. Just didn't get the returns. Also mistimed Asst Mgr chip. 🤷

Thanks. I think I'd feel much better about it if I had risen to it, rather than slid back to it over the past several GWs. Matter of perspective, it seems.
Still, my best ever, and I'll feel pretty good about it by the time the next season starts.

So much better on here. Don't really miss much, there are other ways of getting what good info is buried in the mountains of $&#*! at the Bad Place. No regrets at leaving that behind.
Thanks, Joe, for the first FPL CC on here (AFAIK) and keeping it informative, interesting, and fun this season

Thank you, Sertalp and Bas, for everything and all the hard work. I've learned a lot. Looking forward to your next efforts.

That's pretty substantial, not the odd lot. Definitely a management problem now.
Strange to me, though. Sure, he's leaving; but others have, and he has only one career. Is it the running down of contract, the long dance with Madrid?

What was it like at Anfield when Trent was on, was it a small percentage of booing or a significant portion of the crowd?

I wondered what she had been up to after Hot Fuzz. 😉

Me neither. Bunch of whiners (whingers) at Madrid, always ready with excuses.
It’s his career, and if that’s what he wants, well, best of luck in your future endeavors.
Makes me want to keep Diaz just for the embarrassment if we meet them in the CL.

What, is Trent taking his talents to South Beach?
He should have talked with Red’s investor Lebron about how not to leave a club. It took years for Lebron to regain even a modicum of respect from Clevelanders in general, and many never forgave him fir the manner in which he left.

I have to say, it's pleasantly surprising how many FPL content creators seem to be very nice people. The vast, vast majority. (I can think of only one who's truly obnoxious, mate.) Unusual to find that in any group of people. Tip of the hat to the content creators in our little world.

To 2093, and the crew of an interstellar spacecraft funded and built by a megalomaniacal oligarch lands on a distant moon searching for intelligent extraterrestrials. They discover an ancient race of humanoids has created life forms designed to eradicate the people of Earth. The oligarch dies.

My view: he's done a lot for the club, will never forget the Barcelona corner, but he's not as good as he thinks he is defensively. Never really addressed that weakness. He has a short career, and this is what he wants. Thanks. I'll feel better if we get/develop a more reliable right back.

Good to know, and I greatly appreciate the clarification.
There's plenty more we have in common, not the least that we're almost neighbors (across the river in SJ). Looking forward to more of your posts.
And it's been a memorable year for our teams. #YNWA

“slander”, “overthinking”. Neither of those address the merits of my position, they’re attacks on the individual not the substance.
