No. He’s sardonically discussing it

Trump cannot force the UVA president out if the University President refuses to resign. He has much less power than he asserts & his targets shld to quit capitulating.
comment in response to post
He’s been awful for a lot longer than a few years though. The change is he’s experiencing consequences for his actions

Turns out, the Red Sox fan was the best mayor NYC’s had in a while

Do you think the NYT should only let ppl publish opinion pieces they agree with?

This would also help solve the problem that got Adams elected in 2021 Ppl want cuomo to lose but have at least 5 candidates they prefer to the candidate that finishes 2nd It may matter a lot this yr bc there’s a lot of ppl who hate cuomo but prefer 5 other candidates to mamdani/lander
comment in response to post
It just seems like there’s a lot of ppl who’d prefer mamdani to cuomo but don’t like either. Just like in 2021 there were ppl who’d have preferred Garcia to Adams but didn’t want either. They shld rank mamdani, even if there’s 5 candidates they’d prefer to him. That’s how cuomo can lose
comment in response to post
I’d say, rank 3 ppl you want in order, then if you haven’t ranked mamdani or lander rank them, then whoever else you want
comment in response to post
ideally no, but Adams won bc too few ppl ranked Garcia. So they way to beat cuomo, is at least rank the candidates w the best chance of beating him ranking 5 but not lander or mamdani is worse than just ranking lander and mamdani
comment in response to post
It’s possible that lander and mamdani are both eliminated before some other non-cuomo candidate but if there’s not some other candidate that finishes better than both of them, Kurt’s ballot is fine & his 3-5 choices wouldn’t count anyway
comment in response to post
Who you rank is much more important than ranking 5. Ppl who don’t want cuomo probably need to rank at least lander and mamdani. If your 1st rank is the candidate that comes closest to beating cuomo/eventually beats cuomo, none of the other rankings ever get counted

And what has the senate dem leader had to say? Nothing?

NYC mayoral primary voters should note the sponsor of the repeal bill

a lot of ppl have work at places w dipshit bosses. kinda weird to keep posting at ari abt his
comment in response to post
Of course Trump (D) would be the DNC’s choice for 2028
comment in response to post
cuomo’s appeal is very similar to trump’s. it’s sad to see so many ppl apparently want a be led by a bully
comment in response to post
Tbf though, NYC dems have been pretty bad at picking their local leaders recently. But national dems aren’t great either. There are actually several good options this year. 1. Lander/Mamandi 2. Mamandi/Lander 3. Myrie 4. Blake 5. Stringer 6. A. Adams
comment in response to post
Wanting to be liked & respected by the wealthy ppl they report on shapes their views.
comment in response to post
Cuomo supporters consistently sound like Trump supporters. They’ll deny his disqualifying behavior, then excuse it, and conflate being bombastic & obnoxious w being “tough” Meanwhile there is a candidate escorting ppl targeted by ice out of court despite threats of arrest. Actual courage.

Cuban sold broadcast dot com to yahoo for $5.7B at the peak of the tech bubble. It was one of the largest and worst acquisitions by any tech company. It was never profitable and yahoo shut most of it down within 3yrs. Cuban’s wealth from that sale is the only reason he’s considered a bold thinker.

it’d only take abt 11M eggs/day to produce a true 1 in a billion egg every 3 months
comment in response to post
ah that’s probably primarily just a trump effect. it’s been a decade now of the right wing being led by the whiniest most perpetually aggrieved politician maybe ever, who also constantly rants abt inane stuff on social media

a lot of the ppl you see complaining abt everything & pretending they’re struggling are teens & in their early 20s. they have no perspective. it’s particularly common w the communists and china apologists on here

In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. -ADL

Lol. You’re overestimating the typical American consumer. Most happily use corn syrup.

Presumably china will also see less US $ from importers & the US will have supply issues that don’t just increase prices but will make some things unavailable eg products requiring rare earth metals from china. And potentially treasury market disruptions

Abrego Garcia’s case is one unique example, but there are at least two legal permanent residents who have been imprisoned in the US for many wks without charge If the admin can imprison ppl for speech it doesn’t like & courts entertain the admin’s jurisdictional games, there is no 1st amnd for them
comment in response to post
Do you think the courts’ failure to ensure constitutional protections are quickly afforded to ppl & institutions targeted by the admin is largely responsible for the reluctance of others to defend the rule of law? Fear of retribution can be an effective tool for the admin if courts are too slow.

Hey, that $60M is more than the cost of all food aid & heath aid funding to South Sudan that Trump & Elon cut. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/11/w...
comment in response to post
It means he wants the law firms that agreed to provide pro bono services to the admin to defend cops who are sued for violating the people’s rights.

Yes. There’s only one constitutional remedy available for a lawless president. He’s pretty cleary an enemy of the constitution. Their oath of office requires them to pursue impeachment.
comment in response to post
they should impeach when they can & do what they are able to while they are out of power to advance the constitutional remedy for lawless president
comment in response to post
The “dems shouldn’t try bc the gop won’t help” ppl really shld be gone by now. Impeach bc Trump has committed many impeachable offenses.

What does working class mean if it’s not determined by education level, type of work & income? If it’s just income level, what average income would make someone working class in the US?
