Guardian’s Peter Walker now grovelling around for the gender cranks with his THIRD headline alteration. Do we even have any real journalists any more?

Am pleased to say we have now issued in the High Court our claim against the EHRC. Its position on toilets is, we believe quite clearly, unlawful. goodlaw.social/20ku

🧵 🚨 On 5 June 2025, the Advocate General delivered a powerful opinion in the case European Commission v. Hungary, finding Hungary’s so-called “Child Protection Law” violates EU law in multiple ways. Read the full statement on our website: tgeu.org?p=9378

As they've now deleted the post, this was what it said before.

Anytime a headline makes the gender critical side look like cartoon villains, they piss and shit themselves crying to the editor and get the entire thing rewritten to completely change the article. Exhibit A: same article. They even deleted the posts.

If the law never permitted self-id, are my passport and driving licence illegal? Is that what they're saying? Because I don't have a GRC.

Hopefully this (welcome) commitment to international law means that, if and when a Court finds UK law on trans people inconsistent with our ECHR obligations, Labour restores the law to what it was before the Supreme Court disgracefully rewrote it.

The Guardian story does not mention that the EHRC's Akua Reindorf has previously advised and represented Sex Matters and been instructed by LGB Alliance. Seems relevant.

Uh oh whoops said the quiet part out loud quick put it back in the tube quickly quiclkly

Like i get that its her argument but dont you think there’s some journalistic responsibility that you should actually say that our rights ARE being reduced? Rather than just voice the transphobes argument more or less uncritically

The UK in 2025 is truly bizarre. Openly saying one minority deserves lesser rights than everyone else is a slippery slope to the G word!

In finally admitting that they're trying to take away our rights, they're also admitting that we have exercised these rights for years -decades- and there hasn't ever, ever been an issue with it

Akua reindorf an "impartial" commissioner of the EHRC. One who buys merch from anti trans groups. And accepts money to talk to anti trans staff groups... whatthetrans.com/anti-trans-e...

A reminder: Akua Reindorf was hired to the EHRC *SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE* she authored a bigot report (the reindorf review).

As we celebrate Pride this month it's important to remember Emily and all the kids like her who watch the rights they were promised being eroded. We march and resist so our queer children don't have to live their lives in a battlefield

Trans people's rights cannot depend on possession of a GRC because many of them were established in case law by eg industrial tribunals and in legislation prior to the passing of the GRA in 2004.

Bristol's Crips Against Cuts campaign group is staging a big demo in the middle of Broadmead on Saturday against the Government cuts to PIP. It will include a 'die-in' Full story here: www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol...

Here in Scotland a member of Parliament is claiming that the Pride flag is homophobic. Can someone explain these through-the-looking-glass mental and linguistic contortions please because this culture war bullshit seems just intellectually impenetrable to me. Is up now also down? Is black now white?

BritCard - brought to you by Palantir. All part of a repression ready, gift-wrapped surveillance state for Farage to pick up and run with. Remember kids - authoritarianism is OK when it has a friendly font 👌🏾

(For those of you who were wondering: A GRC is a piece of paper that has little meaning to anyone who isn’t trans. It stops us having to out ourselves, gives protection against discrimination in job interviews, and dignity at the altar and the grave.)

If you're going insist that certain groups are going to have to accept a "reduction in their rights" then you're going to have accept the reaction you get to that may not necessarily come in the form of polite letter writing and debate.

ANYONE who thinks ANY group should accept fewer human rights than everyone else is totally unfit to serve as an EHRC commissioner.

This govt promised to deliver the homes that we need in this country - but instead they're writing a blank cheque for developers to make even more profits building luxury homes only the richest can afford. The only way to solve the housing crisis is to restore our social housing.

The UK's EHRC (Equality and Human Rights Commission) says we should accept reduced rights! @ilgaeurope.bsky.social fyi, but it's just getting surreal in the UK 😔 www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

We can protect people. We can protect nature. But Labour are protecting the profits of property developers. The Planning & Infrastructure bill needs ripping up & starting again.

Labour pick for the new EHRC Chair - Mary-Ann Stephenson - followed numerous notorious ‘gender critical’ transphobes on Bluesky (no trans-inclusive accounts) before she deleted her account! 😣 It clearly shows who she affiliates and aligns herself with! @sarahowen.org.uk @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social

Mary-Ann Stephenson is a transphobe. Pass it on!!

One of the reasons I was turned down for PIP last month when I tried to renew was that I was *well enough to care for my mother.* The government wants very much to enjoy its unpaid carer cake. And who wouldn’t? It’s care provision, and it’s unpaid!

British culture is telling a marginalised group to fuck off and die but in the most twee, pass-agg, dogshit way imaginable.

Write to them even if they aren’t your MP - provide evidence of her affiliation with transphobic ‘gender critical’ organisations and individuals.

If I was selling compulsory ID cards I simply wouldn't make my pitch: "we are going to make you all carry compulsory ID that will cost you £100+ so we can give the police and immigration enforcement Trump-style powers. This is progressive." www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

For someone who is only following 160 people on Bluesky, Mary-Ann Stephenson sure is following a very large number of anti-trans campaigners. As Kemi Badenoch explained in 2024, the most important thing for the gender critical movement is for them to stack institutions with their friends.

FOUR times the private healthcare donations of every other party The Labour Party is now unequivocally the party of the private healthcare sector. Thanks to campaign group EveryDoctor, we now know its MPs in parliament have taken millions in donations www.thecanary.co/uk/analysis/...

It's not often they outright admit they're reducing the rights of trans people, but it's on-brand they tell trans people to accept officially being second-class citizens.

Yesterday in Parliament a group of parent carers launched a campaign calling for a fairer transport system for disabled students aged 16 – 18. They have written a letter to the School Ministers. Sign the letter here ✍️👉 https://f.mtr.cool/pneigdgvyb

A couple of things come to mind here. Firstly Reindorf clearly has no idea how the transition process actually works. You have to live fully in your new gender before you can qualify for a GRC, and that includes using the correct toilet. www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

I cannot get past a HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSIONER saying “people must accept a reduction in their rights”. What the actual fuck is happening?!

I'm old enough to remember anti-trans activists saying "no-one is talking about taking rights away from trans people" and here we have an EHRC commissioner saying "yup, we've correctly taken away their rights"
