I don't think it makes a huge difference, but I can imagine that a uniformed format can benefit LLMs and other newlines and commas etc are just added noise.
I just saw so much unreadable crap produced by AI the last few months π© and it's preventing developers from reading and understanding

In the end, I guess I'm just looking for a way to avoid multiple named parameters on a single line π
Named parameters on multiple lines give a clean key-value-table-like structure that's easy to read π

The team is not planning to add more configuration options for formatting, because they want to unify it rather than diversify it, which is a valid point tbh.

With all the vibe coding stuff going on, it makes me wonder if they want to optimize the code for AI rather than for humans.
Are we still concerned with the readability of our code or should that become less of a concern because of AI? π€

I do agree that having a uniform formatting across all apps and packages would be beneficial, but there are reasons why we want to have control over this.
Choosing to list parameters horizontally or vertically changes the emphasis on those parameters, helping with readability where it matters.

I think it's a good signal to check per PR. If the percentage (whatever that value may be) drops significantly, it should trigger us to double check if we're not missing parts that could have been covered
