AI is a lie. AGI can't be born from current LLMs. Corpos are stealing tax payer money, destroying the environment and putting workers out of jobs, while begging for investments because they are 'so close' from a breakthrough. It wont happen. The only thing that is growing is wealth inequality.

So if I am getting this right: Thursday the librarian of Congress was fired. Friday the copyright office rushed out a draft report suggesting genAI training on copyrighted works shouldn’t be legal. Saturday the head of the copyright office is fired.

In Brazil, AI has been rolled out to help process social security requests. It’s sped up basic cases, but also led to large numbers of legitimate claimants, particularly among farm workers, having their claims rejected because of small errors on their submissions.

The Liberal are currently likely going towards a victory for the next election but they already set the table by including things like "finding inefficiencies" and implementing AI their vocabulary. A Liberal victory must not equal a blanket application of their platform. We must let them know.
