It won't be long before Trump starts claiming that nobody thought of putting the rope inside the pole until he did it.

It was also a function of not paying close attention and being gullible.

Tax cuts should be like bonuses. If there is a government surplus then give it back to those who are in need.

I don't think people have actually called me a fascist here but even the implication is enough to set of a shit storm against me, triggering others to attack me for some misinterpretation of a concern I might have. I then have to spend time defending my position. The intent is to punish.

You can use the block feature to undermine discussions that are being had with third parties. You can use the moderation feature to put people on a list out of vindictiveness. I was recently put on the 'Bot' list. If anybody unjustly calls me a fascist then there is a stampede to use those features.

Blocked, put on moderation lists, called a fascist, told to shut up. I am not offended by these actions and of course I expect people to disagree with me. It's not just disrespectful posters who get punished. I just find it interesting that any deviation from a liberal perspective is so triggering.

Musk has effectively alienated both political parties. Maybe he is looking to start a new party for atheists?

I bet Don Corleone would even agree that's not a deal.

I probably don't think your simplistic teeter-totter metaphor makes sense in the context of our current political realities because I am not a kid. You seem to be blaming Democratic Party central committees for progressive losses but have no practical ideas on how to affect any changes.

This is a proposed note that has not been approved so it is not being seen by his followers. There are brigades of Trump and Musk supporters who will make sure that it doesn't happen. The rigged moderation on X is just as corrosive as its rigged algorithm.

You cannot express moderate opinions on this platform without getting punished.

If there are a lot of leftists out there then why aren't leftist candidates winning elections? Who do you blame for San Francisco voters recently replacing ultra progressive politicians with more moderate representatives?

Why is a statute relevant in a discussion about bad optics? It is my opinion that Padilla could have easily avoided this scene being created if he wanted to.

If you want to create a scene you should not identify yourself before resisting law enforcement officials attempts to restrict your movements.

I don't see how you can blame her for the overreaction of the officers. Unfortunately she benefited from his actions. Missed opportunity.

I may not know a lot about trans rights but somebody I recruited and became good friends with transitioned. I learned about the whole process and got a lot of insights including how it affected her marriage. It was very impactful. She recruited me for my next gig.

I am in no way discounting the extent of the discrimination and abuse the trans community has to endure. I am sympathetic to your struggles.

I am a pragmatic libertarian. The current Libertarian Party is full of incompetent dogmatic nut jobs who abhor pragmatism.

It would have been great if he called her out on the fascist comment she made about replacing the governor and mayor. That's not what he was asking about. Unfortunately his scene overshadowed that comment.

When the government is so corrupt and incompetent that approving new housing becomes impossible more shelter beds should at least be an option.

There was a firestorm created by the school board over renaming schools. Members got removed because of it.

I totally agree that the officers over reacted but he did not help himself by resisting them. It made it look like he wanted to create a scene.
