I didn’t cancel my subscription, even though I detest the non-endorsement as much as anyone, because I want to read and support the work that you and other excellent journalists do there. People who cancel their subscriptions and still expect to read stuff for free aren’t thinking things through.

Now WaPo is reporting that, according to Trump, there will indeed be mass deportations. What is your take on this report @sethabramson.bsky.social?

Maybe under Trump II more readers will come to identify sources they trust and not necessarily trust only major media.

Not doubting or challenging you, but can you link to something reporting that Johnson and Homan admitted this? I would like it to be true, and frankly I would not like them to be pressured into rounding up people into camps like they said they would.

I wonder how he'll get along with Burnham in Interior, who at least recognizes the existence of climate change and supports some clean energy subsidies, in part because they benefit his home state.

He'll be 82 in 2028. With all the damage he's planning to inflict on the country in the next couple years, I'm having trouble getting worried about the possibility of him trying to run for a third term four years from now.

I also doubt Biden would do this. But I don't see why he couldn't legitimately do it. It's not investigating your political opponents, as someone else above said. It's investigating cabinet nominees as such.

It's fun to speculate about this. But I think Musk is really in the driver's seat of this relationship, and it benefits him to stay connected. Trump will soon realize that he needs Musk more than vice-versa.

I think Trump is already finished with RFK

Do you think RFK Jr. will actually be appointed to any position of real influence, though? Or will Trump drop him now that the election is won, especially after the Senate or other power brokers push back?
