"What if I do a lot of kindness and there is still violence, and also what if violence is done to me anyway?" You did some kindness. Do some more. "What if the violence doesn't stop?" I am sorry. I didn't cause the violence, and you didn't either. Tell other people about kindness.

"I get so angry about the violence that I want to do some violence?" Are you sure you are on the kindness side, or the violence side? Are you maybe a person who wants to do violence, and thinks other people want it, so you do violence to stop their violence? Are you waiting to do violence?

"Do I have to do kindness to the people who want to do violence?" Yes. Them especially. "But fuck them." Fair enough. No one said it was easy. They want to do violence to the people who want to do kindness, so turnabout is fair play.

Violence might stop violence, and kindness might stop violence. But if you do violence you KNOW there will be violence. Whereas, if you do kindness, then there is only a chance there will be violence. So the sum of violence is reduced, and kindness increased. Do a lot of kindness.

There is a shorter path to not having violence done to you. It is being kind. We could do a lot of kindness, to everyone, a lot. "But what if someone does some violence to me?" I am sorry. I will comfort you. Let's try some more kindness.

Henry Ford invented and promoted “country” music as a category to fight jazz. The music always existed. But the category distinguishing it from black music is a white supremacist fantasy that the nation embraced and made real.

I knew a guy who built a part for part accurate Sherman tank, one to one scale, out of pine. (Exterior only, not the engine and stuff).

I have the plate for that Del Rey logo. It looks so good. I proofed it upside down by mistake, though.

The secret is that when conservatives are given a choice between preventing something, or punishing someone, they will always choose punishment. Because punishment is the end desired. Vindictive satisfaction.

I appreciate this. I’m trying to assess if this changes the story. The fact that we’re revealing fake moderates seems important. Persuasion and self discovery are different ways to describe very similar rhetorical events.

So does that mean the split is long standing? IE, men were always more conservative and just weren’t articulating it?

Imagine that instead of Disney, it could be called Eye Works. We’re in the wrong timeline!

I teach at a division one school. You need to bring all the kids who ALMOST make it. Or JUST the kids with debilitating injuries that end their career sophomore year.
