h/t to @nanami.codes that kept mentioning it and made me curious :p

officially we have a parade where all military forces, police departments, and auxiliary forces (e.g. Red Cross) salute the President of the Republic, and other important offices of the state me? I had a beer đŸș

that said, I see the difference between recyclable and general waste even on house scale I fill a bag of plastic and metal on a weekly basis, while I throw out half bag of general waste once a month
comment in response to post
for some reason, Italy has the highest recycling rate of the EU with about 85% I found it amazing given the fact we (Italians) are not particularly fond at following rules xD

for some reason I fell in love with Ampere (ARM64) processors

I would like to, having no idea about self performance won’t let me know if different approaches lead to improvements or not

I have two within 20 min walking, but tbh 40 min for a round trip is a little too much for me

I would never “trade in” my autism even if it was possible I can’t speak for everyone, but for me what made QOL a mess was being undiagnosed if I had been assessed when I was a child things could have been drastically different also given that I probably had ADHD too those childhood years

I agree as I dislike error handling in Go in general, everything feels to clumsy when it comes to pass error around
comment in response to post
I don’t think it is a case of people not caring about error handling, but mostly some kind of error that you cannot handle other than logging it if it happens a IO error you can’t reasonably fix it because it means the disk said “sayonara” xD

I didn't know PRQL, it seems really interesting, I'll take a look

keeping in mind what is standard SQL and what is not is still valuable, avoiding database-specific features when not needed is always a good thing that said, most of my application just won't work in another database because of feature lacking that I would need to reimplement otherwise
comment in response to post
I kinda hope we never will, self consciousness and slavery labor doesn’t mix well together 😬
comment in response to post
the first iteration was obviously unoptimized, but the very fact that it worked by standard SQL constructs is brilliant of course you have to study implementation specific instructions, but the SQL foundations remain solid and you don’t have to relearn anew every time
comment in response to post
you are right, but the fact it is still portable at some degree it’s a miracle two years ago I had to work with a Data Warehouse, a behemoth compared to my usual projects I was able to SELECT
FROM
WHERE
just fine, without any prior knowledge about that particular implementation
comment in response to post
imo whatever other implementation than SQL will lead to proliferation of “proprietary” API and then you would need to learn a new language for each new db see Cypher and Neo4j as a loosely related example (yes I’m aware that it is a Graph DB and not a RDBMS)
comment in response to post
I use Pandas often and it does the same thing a database do, but to use it you just do function calls it’s not an absurd idea to have a different way rather than using SQL I don’t find feasible to do so tho, you would still need SQL for “manual” access to the database

9070 XT proved harder to get, I was already slightly over budget so I choose the 7800X3D over the 9800X3D because it was cheaper and available tbh the system exceeds already my gaming requirements, I don’t really need to minmax everything even the SSD is PCIe 4.0 just because it was cheaper

unix-based x86 traditionally stores time as signed int, counting seconds from 00:00:00 1 jan 1970, the max value of 2^31-1 is 2,147,483,647 seconds that are 68 years (give or take) 1970+68 = 2038 so there is a moment during 2038 where the integer overflows and the number flips into negative
comment in response to post
I hope not, people are already working to avoid it wiki.debian.org/ReleaseGoals...

wait
2030 is new, what kind of bug is that? the 32 bit apocalypse is 2038, isn’t it?

Haruhi was aired out of order e.g. the first episode aired was the 11th in chronological order if you find yourself lost it's a choice they made when the anime was released you can find the chronological order on wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...

as such I found most people absolutely unbothered by his figure, you may find some people in Genoa or in Liguria who are “proud” of him, but most people in Italy just don’t care as far as I know
comment in response to post
Italy became a unified kingdom in 1861, there were no such things as “Italian” before that date; I don’t want to be pedantic here, we literally didn’t speak the same language and we didn’t have a common culture that said, Columbus has been traditionally a citizen of the Republic of Genoa

unpopular opinion here, watching them in plot order instead of release order has been much more enjoyable for me

if you are curious about snapshots you can always use Disk Utility but I'd not remove them unless they give you headaches here's how to show them: support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/...
comment in response to post
iirc MacOS keep a snapshot of the last working operating system during upgrades, if something goes banana it’s easier that way to go back give or take a MacOS installation size should be about 20GB
comment in response to post
APFS snapshots may cause it, also sometimes Time Machine get stuck and eats 50GB+ disk space as snapshots that I have to burn with fire manually

yeah, well, I was born before the internet xD

it’s not inherently a bad thing, quality now is so much better, but they’re relatively expensive I don’t think I could have afforded such prices when I was 15 point is, I’m out of money and I keep finding new manga to buy 😭

when I was still in university, it wasn't exactly a library, but more like a study hall...anyway I was passing by bathroom in the same moment as a guy and a girl exits both from it let's say "dressed in a hurry" I also remember she wasn't wearing any shoes, only socks... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

people nowadays forget that reality isn’t democratic just because everyone agree with something doesn’t make it real
