An what about a WordPress slug? 🤭

I confirm that is a lovely place ... montains, funicular, vineyards and great wines 🍷 but I am surprized about the old carriages of the Mendelbahn... I think they are no more at this place for a long time 🤔

Et aussi un autre pour la papeterie près de la source de la Serrière pour relier la fabrique de pâte à papier des Battieux à La Monderie 😉

Yes, unfortunately Royal Gorge Inclined Railway closed in 2013 after being damaged by a nearby fire! 😢 But it was not the World steepest funicular which still is Katoomba Scenic Railway in Australia 🚞

In 2005 I published some pages about the Tunnels of Istanbul on my historic magazin... funicular Taksim Kabatas was still in construction and Aşiyan Hisarüstü was not even projected 😅 www.funimag.com/funimag26/Is...

Or is it a power cable that unwinds as the cabin descends? 🤔
comment in response to post
It looks more to a flexible pipe than a cable 😅

The 'little carts' on the left? yes there are 4 stops with four doors. But my question is about that thing linked to the cabin. This is not a counterweight 🤔
comment in response to post
This inclined lift is very strange! Never saw such an incline. The cabin is passing over the stair! And what is this cable/rope fixed to this little cart beside the stair and also in the axle of the cabin? 🤔

I am also very concerned about funiculars of Valparaiso for so many years... that is why I am quite desesperate that after being listed at UNESCO and some funiculars bought by Valparaiso municipality... I don't see many restorations but more closing 😱

I love Jacques Tati's movies which are all full of hidden details. In particular the restaurant scene in "Play Time" which needs to be watched a lot of time to look at all the characters 🎞️ 🔍
